Calzaghe would wait for Ward to turn 40, then the fight would happen

All respect due to the great calz but I can't help but remember his taunting vs a shot to piecies rjj. Prime for prime he's not attempting that peekaboo bull**** he did. Btw I was never a big rjj fan but real recognize real if you catch my drift.

In all fairness the Chad Dawson that fought tonite would have had his ass beat by Calzaghe as well. H2h Ward vs Calzaghe is too close to call IMO.

So a guy who knocked out a pound for pound rated opponent vs. a guy who won a 9-3 decision over a guy with a broken hand?

First he would ask for the crown jewels. Then he would wait for him to lose a couple times and an AARP card to arrive in the mail. Then he might fight him.

I think you're missing the spirit of the idea.

I still have to go with Joe by quite a long way , I know Ward was good but Dawson looked like the walking dead tonight.

I'm surprised by the results here. I actually thought this would be a dead heat.

Ya know, before Dawson gave up hope he was landing lefts pretty routinely in the first two rounds. Joe would be very tough for ward to control. Ward doesn't hit hard IMO and Joe has an iron chin. Ward is great inside, but Joe controls range very well and has a good jab. Flip a coin for the winner in this one.

    wow what a performance.

I'd previously given the nod to Calzaghe for his workrate special ability but now that Ward destroyed the guy that Calzaghe ran away from, its got to be Ward by UD.

He is in another league to 'workrate specialist' Joe C.

And lets be honest, the only way Calzaghe would have fought a legit prime LHW like Dawson is if he could wait till Dawson turned 40, which is a cheat way and isnt even an option for Joe because he was older , so it was never going to happen.

Ward beats any version of Joe.
