BETTER WIN: Andre Ward vs Chad Dawson or Pacquiao vs De La Hoya?

    MANNY PACQUIAO

    * Moved up 2 weight Classes @ Full 147 to fight Oscar De La Hoya (No Catch weight)
    * Oscar De La Hoya previously won by UD against Steve Forbes @ 150 Catch weight.
    * Manny Pacquiao was a huge under dog in this fight.
    * People was saying this was a Joke of a fight because of the Big size difference.

    Oscar De La Hoya Previous weight against Forbes = 150 Pounds.
    Oscar De La Hoya Fight with Pacquiao = 147 Pounds.


    ANDRE WARD

    * Stayed in his division.
    * Huge Favorite to win against Dawson.
    * Dawson had to go down 1 division to fight Ward.

    Chad Dawson Previous weight against Hopkins = 173.5 Pounds.
    Chad Dawson Fight with Andre Ward = 168 Pounds.

    But Either way, Andre Ward will be P4P King once Mayweather & Pacquiao leaves Boxing.

    Thoughts?

    Dawson was in his prime, lineal champion and p4p ranked :patsch

    which one beat the lineal champion a division over him??


    these fights cant be compared..one was the best fighting the best and the other was a washed up fighter cherry picking a smaller fighter and getting embarassed

    Both are tainted by the opponent being obviously at a disadvantage IMO. Catch weight fights and draining to get money fights are bad for the sport and not real reflections of how the fight would really play out.

    DLH was almost in his 40's coming off of a loss, no belt, not highly ranked and was a zombie that couldn't even rehydrate.

    Ward's win > Pac's win

    I wasn't discrediting Ward, was just stating facts. Either way Andre Ward will be P4P King once Mayweather & Pacquiao leaves or maybe even sooner.

    I realize that, that's why I said draining to get money fights is bad for the sport. I don't feel sorry for Dawson or Oscar they ****ed themselves for a check, but it's still a tainted victory.

    he was 35 and coming off of a win over Forbes..but yea Wards win was better..

    u listed all of the positves in the Pac-DLH fight.

    and all the negatives in the Ward-Dawson fight.

    hell i rank him over manny now,how could you not???and if you rank him over floyd now i wouldnt argue that at all..the lowest he could be is #2
