    I disagree.

Wilder learned absolutely nothing from this fight, and his detractors now have fabulous new ammunition for making fun of him. He was starting to look halfway legit after the Manswell fight, but this fight is too embarrassing for even me to defend.

This fight will hurt him in the long run, perhaps badly. Suppose his team calls-out a decent B-level fighter next, and that fighter doesn't want to take a chance on Wilder's power. Now that fighter can just point to this fight, laugh, and claim that Wilder is not worth his time. Danger avoided, with no professional embarrassment for that fighter.

This game is all about perception. Need I mention David Haye?

According to De La Hoya (Just the last sentence in the article):

Oscar de la Hoya, president of Golden Boy Promotions, which promotes Wilder, said via Twitter after the fight that Wilder's next bout will be on Showtime.

“He is ready for top 10,” de la Hoya said.

So either he steps up within 2 fights, or I write him off like the rest of you guys.

Oscar said he's ready for a top ten opponent?

Whatever drugs Oscar is on, I want some!

Top-50, sure, but Top-10? That's insane. Wilder hasn't had ANY experience getting attacked by an aggressive, powerful opponent. - And this last fight probably just reinforced whatever bad / sloppy habits he may have.

Even if Wilder has the talent to make it to the top (I still think it's possible) he is at least five hard fights away from such considerations, and that's a best-case scenario.

The height/girth disparity looked like the charity boxing fight between Manute Bol and William "The Refridgerator" Perry.

    What the hell!?!

Ok first off this guy was out of his depth and obese but surely thats a DQ? Wilder threw a flat out shot to the back of his head

The fatboy would be safer eating pies, something he plainly likes to do, than getting a DQ win that might encourage him to continue with boxing.

This reminds me of the tomato cans the K brothers knocked out in the 90s during their first 20 fights. Hilarious.

This bogus opponent of him only faught a few times since the new centery, remember that. Time to take a baby step up at least Wilder, Maybe Darnell Wilson, Denis Bahktov, then Kubrat Pulev, Seth Mitchell, Tyson Fury.

No way Wilder can stand up to Magomed's power.

You guys need to shut the **** up, he is going to step up his competition, in his next 2 bout. He first plans on fighting Danny DeVito, then Rosie O'Donnell...
