    Hopkins held the top spot for a bit despite the fact that he had only won at title at MW at the time. Outside of the big two, I don't see why he can't be ranked ahead of anyone else in the sport.

    I chose Ward, with or without Dawson. I think Ward is extremely underrated. He is not really mentioned because he is not talked about much. If he was promoted better or if he knew how to sell himself like Floyd does, he would be in the conversation much more. I love Floyd's skills but I just think Ward has fought better oppoistion so maybe he doesnt look that much better. Just my opinion.

    Yeah the idea that you have to weight-jump is an utterly silly view. Often it will be more impressive to clean out and stay at the top of a division for an extended period of time simply because it means it's more likely one will face problematic style match-ups, as opposed to simply moving up in weight and going after the weakest trinket holder.

    The answer to the poll is still Floyd but there is no reason whatsoever that Ward should be disqualified from consideration until he moves up.

    since when do you have to jump multiple divisions to be p4p#1???i think its better to clean out your division and fight the best in and around your division

    According to ESB Mayweather has defeated nobody of note, has no heart and is a cherry picker.

    Yet most have him overwhelmingly the best boxer on the planet?

    I agree. It seems like if anyone won most recently there is a demand for the ranking to be shifted these days.

    I have Pacquaio and Mayweather tied for 1st with Ward 3rd, pending Martinez's performance vs Chavez. Think its a little of a knee-jerk reaction to put Ward at num 1 just yet, although he will probably be there in a year or 2
