Just got back from Gealey's official return press conference and can confirm the following:

Mark ****** (MC): Is Daniels only controversial loss, that I and many others dont count, as he clearly won, that being Anthony Mundine on the radar for him?"

    Garrie Francisco (Grange MGR): "No"

    Mark ******: "Why not?"

Garrie Francisco: "An immediate re-match was ordered and Mundine chose to hand the belt back rather than face daniel. "If you looked at his face at the end of that fight it was completely different to his previous 40 forty fightS, no parading around as he thought he had lost"."He lost that fight, but got the decision" "He was offered numerous oppurtunities to fight Daniel but turned them all down"."Daniel now fights international champions, not locals"

So guess what Mundine nut suckers????

    NO SOUP FOR YOU! :happy

This poll shows fans don't want to see the rematch anyway. Sergio continues to be the popular vote and by a wider margin now.

C'mon Whips, you know better than that. :nono

Geales team appealed because of -

1, Mandys entourage intimidated one of the judges.
2, The tape came off Mandys glove 6 times with the ref not deducting a point.
3, A knockdown was ruled a slip by the ref.

Add the comments from Nasser in the corner during the fight, and it was full of controversy, no doubt.

What controversy was in the Geale/Sturm fight for Sturm to appeal?

Or any of Geales other fights?

    True.

What's interesting is that it's predominantly mandy huggers that want Geale to fight Mandy.
    Why is that?

    Oh that's right, desperation.

Mate, What sort of a judge is gonna change there scorecards coz some ****wit is standing over them??/ Doesn't mak an awful lot of sense to me... It was a massive beat up, If Mundine wanted the cards rigged he woulda paid for more judges that would score it for him

    I don't know, what's your point?
The fact is, a judge was intimidated by one of Mandys entourage.

That, plus the other things were obviously enough grounds for appeal according to team Grange.

What was controversial in the Geale/Sturm fight to make you think Sturm could have appealed?

The judge told someone who was looking over his shoulder to "**** Off!". If I was the intruder I would be the one feeling intimidated.

Are there any other cases of Incompetent Boxing Organisation tape reviewing title fights and reversing the decision after a month? IBO have been involved in a fair few controversial decisions. Phil Austin was the one who encouraged Grange to submit for a tape review. Then the tape was conviniently lost and the final decision came back a split decision after a month or two. In my opinion this was just a money grab by IBO for more sanctioning fees.

It matters not now. Fans don't want to see a rematch any more anyway and it sounds like Geale is no longer interested either. Titles to be won. Bigger fish to fry.

Perhaps, but it didn't go down that way, AFAIK.
What are you on about? The decision wasn't reversed, and was never going to be.
    And, what Org hasn't?
In any case, this isn't about the Org.
    Rightfully so.
    Your point is?
That's an opinion you get to have, as wrong as it is.

The bottom line is, there was some controversy surrounding the fight.
