First of all, Martinez isnt that great. His wins over Pavlik and Williams were close fights where he took a lot of damage vs battle-worn fighters at the end of their best days. Plus he more than struggled with these eurobums who fought with fear and no intention of going to war. Martinez will be forced to fight off the ropes vs a crazy mexican like Jr. Just look at Jrs dad. He is nuts lol .... the apple doesnt fall far from the tree.

Martinez will not be able to handle the constant pressure and body shots from Jr. Sergio gets hit too much, is always off balance and has no defense or inside game. Martinez will have to kill Jr to stop him from pressing and im sorry to say that Sergo wont even score a knock down. Hes just gonna **** Jr off and make him fight harder. Chavez will become a nightmare.

Jrs chin is too good, his heart is solid, hes got power in both hands, good speed, head movement and fast on is feet. Say what u want but Chavz can cut a ring off and is very good at getting on the inside and once hes there, he beats you to a pulp. Anyone who thinks he cant box or has a ring iq is very mistaken or just a dumb ass hater.

Jr may have to get wreckless once Martinez starts running but he will go for the kill and finish Martinez inside 8 rds. Sergio will either quit cause he cant breathe with his broken ribs and nose or his defenseless ass will get stopped by the ref like when Margarito embarassed him. You heard it here first! :yep

I like both Chavez Jr and Martinez. I just hope for a good fight that is highly competitive and exciting until the very end. I hope it's not a one-sided beatdown either way.

Chavez's size, strength, bodywork, infighting ability, and power could all trouble Martinez greatly if Chavez can get into close range and beat him down with those short hooks and uppercuts. Closing the distance won't be easy though: Chavez will have to have better head movement then he's ever shown in his life, and keep his hands high constantly to jab and shoot the straight right at Sergio whenever his hands are down to help himself close the distance. Then he'll just have to hammer him in close on the ropes or in the corners to the body and head.

If he finds he can't disrespect Martinez's shots the same way he did Andy Lee's or Rubio's, he might be in for a long night. He has to just get in bodywork and lean on Martinez constantly early in the fight to wear and tire the older man out. His only chance is to win a grinding battle of attrition and TKO Martinez late as you said. I don't think he could decision him or win early in the fight.

I won't bet on it. It's tough to even root against either of them. I like Chavez Jr. because people have underrated him and **** on him for a long time, and it's nice to see that he's developed into a fine fighter and is finally starting to carve his own legacy apart from his father. If he beat Martinez, it'd be a great story, and I'd be happy for him. On the other hand, I find Martinez's style a little more exciting, dynamic, and unique (even though Chavez's style is brutally entertaining in its own way as well.) If Martinez wins, we'll see some more big fights at middleweight (maybe even vs. Golovkin), whereas Chavez Jr. is likely headed to 168 after this fight.

This is probably my most anticipated fight of this year. I can't wait for this Saturday.

Pavlik was puttin hands on Martinez all night and taking over untill he got cut. Williams is probably the dumbest fighter i ever seen. Just throwing punches non-stop with no real iq and still he gave Sergio hell in the first fight. The past few fights Martinez has looked average, getting his nose busted and eating punches all night.

Sergio hasnt fought someone like Chavez since Margarito n we all know how that turned out. Martinez is still an off-balance, no defense, no inside-game or actual fundamental boxing skills type fighter who is an idiot for underestimating Jr. He has set himself up for failure. How embarassing for him and his fans

I think is going to be a great fight. I'm not sure how Martinez is going to prevent Jr from getting inside. Jr needs to stay in the middle of the ring and avoid chasing Martinez.

Chavez Jr. came off awkward in the first 24/7 talkin shyt towards the end....almost like a kid really...he is young though.

I think he will show a ton of heart but Martinez is going to win a wide UD...i dont think he will KO Jr though.

I can't wait for this fight, it will definately be a war. I like both fighters, although I prefer Martinez's personality and work ethic. I honestly would be happy if either of them won, I just want a great fight. I do give the slight edge to Jr. because of his pressure, chin, power, and body work.

I think Chavez will surprise a few people with a brave performance that belies his bad attitude and lack of top level experience but I think Martinez will stop him very late when Jnr has given his all and runs out of gas.
