    This is apparently under negotiation.

    Thoughts? :think

Taylor is ranked #23 in the world at middleweight by Boxrec; Mora #41.

Taylor is ranked #6 by the WBC, #7 by the WBO and #14 by the IBF. Mora is not in the top 15 in any of those organizations (nor in the WBC top 40).

Neither is ranked top 15 by the WBA or The Ring.

Needless to say, the winner is still some distance from contending, but a strong televised performance from either against the other would help solidify their case for getting back within spitting distance.

Not a fight I'm particularly high on to be honest but I would have to say Taylor wins and hopefully Mora retires.

Hopefully Taylor wins this. Mora isn't a big puncher so that should help

Wasn't this fight supposed to happen around 5 or 6 years ago, back when Taylor was champ? Anyways, I've got Taylor on points, in a fight I expect to be boring as ****.

If Taylor loses, he should retire.

    Whoever loses should.

Actually, Mora should retire no matter what.

Taylor should keep going only if he can manage to look impressive or stop Mora.

I like this fight, Taylor should be the favorite but Mora's a live dog.
    (@ this stage)

YES they are removed, Taylor moreso than Sergio but...
    Still interesting.

    What is wealthTV tho?
Gonna have to figure that out.

It's what it sounds like - some TV channel for swanky upper class folk - that has inexplicably decided to enter the boxing broadcast market. :?

They carried the heavyweight mid-afternoon tripleheader with Adamek vs. Walker, Cunningham vs. Gavern, and Jennings vs. Koval last weekend.

Yeah, it's definitely a "sorting out" type match where one takes a step back toward serious contention and the other is pretty much out of the picture for good. So at least it has that going for it. I'd honestly rather see Vera vs. Taylor, though - since they're both similarly ranked by all the org's, and Vera is more deserving a high-profile name like Taylor than Mora who he beat h2h twice, and it would simply be more aesthetically pleasing to watch.

I like Jermain to win comfortably, depending on his conditioning and ability to execute the gameplan Pat lays out.

I got JT in this one. Interesting fight, but I'm not expecting fireworks by any means.

    Food for thought:

The last time Taylor met a mauling spoiler as talented at the craft as Mora, it was Hopkins - who many feel deserved the nod over him twice. (of course Hopkins even then was far better than any version of Mora...)

The last time Mora met a pure boxer [not a fighter; a boxer...so don't bring up Mosley] as skilled as Taylor was Forrest - who lost a close fight the first time while underprepared and overlooking Mora and then dominated the rematch. (of course Forrest even then was a bit better than any version of Taylor...)

    :think

Neither should Mora, albeit for different reasons. :yep (Taylor for his own health, Mora for crimes against pugilism)
