Chavez against Whitaker's foe's.. how does he do..

He has to fight

1. Nelson-Chavez TKO 14
2. McGirt-Chavez UD (McGirt gives him hell for the first 8 before Chavez walks him down)
3. Trinidad-Trinidad TKO 11 (corner stoppage)


Whitaker has to fight Chavez foes...

1. Camacho (Whitaker UD)
2. Taylor (Whitaker SD, Meldrick makes him dig keep in the championship rounds)
3. Randall. (Whitaker UD)

 

Chavez destroys our time stream by fighting himself in 1993. In unrelated events I would love Taylor-Whitaker.

To be fair Chavez was never a welterweight.

1. Camacho = 11-1 Whitaker @ 140
2. Taylor = 8-4 Whitaker @ 140
3. Randall. = 10-2 Whitaker @ 140.

 

1. Nelson-Chavez = Chavez UD, Nelson was at the tail end of his career.
2. McGirt-Chavez = McGirt SD, Buddy was underrated and was a smart fighter who maximized his skill level.
3. Trinidad-Chavez = Tito by TKO. Not much to say here. Tito would take his head off

1. Camacho-Whittaker = Sweat Pea UD, Camacho was past it by the time they would meet.
2. Taylor-Whittaker = Whittaker UD. Pernell would have too much ring IQ and discipline.
3. Randall-Whittaker = Whittaker UD. Pernell would be too slick for Randall.

 

He fought only Whitaker and De La Hoya (I think), late in his career, at welterweight. However, you really underrate Chavez, I believe he beats McGirt by KO, and I don't know what to say about him vs Trinidad.

 

I'm not questioning that, like I said I don't know what to say about Trinidad vs Chavez since I haven't really seen Felix fighting.

Chavez vs. Nelson = 8-4 Chavez

Chavez vs. McGirt = 7-5 Chavez (Although McGirt probably performed better than Chavez did against Whitaker, I think Whitaker was sharper for Chavez and trained harder for that fight. I think Buddy would do well but will probably fade a bit down the stretch due to Chavez' body punishment.

Chavez vs. Trinidad = Trinidad 8-4. Chavez will box well early, but Tito is too big to contend with for 12 rounds/


Whitaker vs. Camacho = Whitaker 8-4

Whitaker vs. Taylor = Whitaker 8-4

Whitaker vs. Randall = Whitaker 9-3.


It would have been interesting to see a post-Vasquez Whitaker take on Randall in 1995. That could have been a really competitive fight. I'd edge it towards Pea but it wouldn't be easy.

 

I would have like to have seen that fight as well, Randall wasn't really given the opportunity to take advantage of his win against Chavez like he should have been.

 

I think Whitaker beats all of Chavez comp, the only close 1 would be Taylor and I wish it happened

Chavez gets stopped by Trinidad. He beats Nelson. McGirt would be a close interesting fight, one that is hard to pick a winner. At 147 though you have to lean to McGirt. The Hurtado Whitaker fought at 147 is a problem for Chavez too

 

Chavez beats Nelson in a close fight on points,stops McGirt late or wins a decison in a close fight,Tito stops Chavez in around 8 rounds..

Whitaker beats Randall and camacho by comfortable decison,Taylor causes him major problems but Sweet Pea wins a close fight..
