Ebo Elder vs Courtney Burton . . . truly the GREATEST fight of all time

Really, out of all the old school fights that i have been told was "awesome" . . . to all the ones we know and love. . . really, none of them come close what Elder and Burton gave us

If you never seen this fight, i feel sorry for you. . because it was sooooooo ****ing epic and you will probably never get a chance to see it now.

When i look back, the only real fight i think could even come close to this one . is MAYBE . . . just MAYBE . . . Castillo vs Corrales

Ward Augustus up there also but agree the Elder fight was so ****ing epic.

Yeah I remember this one. I watched it with some high school friends who weren't really into boxing. They all went loopy and spilled beer everywhere at the end. Great, great fight, fight of the year if it hadn't been for Morales-Barrera III

 

It was a great fight but don't get too carried away.

I always look for this fight on youtube but no luck.

 

This fight brings back memories. def a great fight, brutal honestly.

 

They were even a talent level below Gatti an ward. Corrales castillo was a talent level above Gatti an ward. Thats why it can't be considered greatest ever. I loved when augustus sparked Burton after getting robbed the first fight. One of the worst robberies i ever seen. Poor augustus got screwed his whole career

 

very good fight but best ever castillo vs corrales maybe be real jefferson vs harris ,letterlough vs gonzales,mab vs morales ,pac vs marquez,mckinney vs mab,corrales vs casamayor,katsidis vs casamayor, kelly vs gonzales,garcia vs corrales ,ward vs gatti,trinadad vs vargas,etc all better an those are just to name a few

 

I highly disagree

this fight had all the action and drama you could ever ask for in a fight

two guys throwing brutal blow after brutal blow
both with brass balls that night refusing to lay down
Courtney scoring big knock downs late in the fight
Elders eyes grotesquely swollen to the point he cant even see out of them. . . Then the shocking knock out with just over a minute left on the clock

none of the fights you listed played to the excitement of that fight other then having household names involved. . .

I dare say it. . . better then gatti/ward triology. Better then mab/morales, certainly a **** ton better then Pac/Marquez . . . .

nobody can convince me other wise. . BEST FIGHT EVER
