Cotto, Hatton and Mosley. Hmmmm, all three knocked to the canvas with Pac, 2 of them stopped...I think you need to think things through about who had the better offense in those bouts.
Money doesn't matter to me - but it is relevant here. Cotto made a fortune last year, not to mention his big paydays before that. He's not a fighter desperate for that big payday - he's more than set for money which means that he's not in a position where he has to worry about turning down $7.5m to fight at a weight he isn't comfortable at and accepting other terms he might not like. He's a big name in his own right - if you want to fight him them you give him terms he wants or he can goes elsewhere and fight someone else and still make a nice bit of money. Last time found both PAC and Floyd were desperate for the Cotto fight as he was the biggest name available and would bring a decent share of PPV buys himself. Both submitted him offers, but he went on record as saying he chose Floyd because it was a better deal at a weight he is comfortable at. Seems like PAC has tried the same thing again this time and Cotto has told him to **** himself again.
