Forget that snake Arum and the BS he spouts off every once in a while.

The perfect fight for Pacquiao is Berto.

    For these reasons:

    1. It shows that TR and Team Pac are willing to negotiate with TMT. Because when they set up a fight with Floyd they will deal with TMT. The Berto fight negotiations will surely pave way for a lot of positive things.

    2. Pacquaio will face someone he hasn't met before. Berto may not be on their level, but recent performance shows that Pacquiao is slowly declining, Berto might be not that easy fight anymore. But if Pac wins impressively, at least he manages to get some mystique back.

    and, the best part is,

    3. If they decide that the fight will undergo whatever testing, this will shut anyone up who still insist Pacquiao is on something, and at least in a way redeem Berto for his "contaminated" samples.

    Whaddaya all think?

Berto has decint skills and can punch. In other words a risk to Pacquiao. This is a fight we will never see.

Berto is a PED user and a mediocre fighter. He's the last guy Pac should fight. It's a lose-lose situation.

A Matthysee fight would be 10X better.

Love the idea and have been advocating it for sometime now for essentially the reasons stated in the opening post.

Though the fight itself is a mismatch in which Pac easily dominates Berto via early to mid round stoppage, it would be fun ride while it lasts.

Berto just tested positive for PED's. And hasn't fought in a year now. He lost two fights ago clear to Ortiz, and was in a 5 round battle with Zaveck in which Zaveck was very much alive and winning rounds before his skin didn't hold up. I would say that Berto would not stand much of a chance against Pacquiao. That said, he is a bigger threat than anyone in or below the division other than Mayweather, JMM, Bradley, Matthysse, and Ortiz.

what's funny with berto is that he/his team knew that they would be the favorite to get the pac after pac-mosley fight and they tried to play it safe by choosing ortiz.

   ...:verysad.

pac's option after he choosed shane would have been berto and jmm.

jmm was a lightweight and berto was a young and undefeated a-american fighter. most people thought at that time that berto is next.

ww champ berto fought jww ortiz who previously quit, jmm fought likar ramos.
