Look, it's amazing how a close decision is now cemented as a robbery in most peoples minds through nothing more than sheer repetition on forums.
Marquez was not robbed, you can make a case for him winning the fights but it was close and could have gone either way.

It wasn't close. Marquez took 9 out of 12 rounds and those rounds weren't even close.

You will find that the numbers (in polls) are very similar.

Marquez was robbed in that 3rd fight..maybe I am going a bit overboard on the 2nd fight and that fight coulda gone either way...but Manny was throroughly outboxed by Marquez in the 3rd fight. It wasn't even close.

Marquez Pacquiao 3 was as close as Bradley Pacquiao and both are robberies.

Only *******s or some Floyd haters say that "Marquez-Pacquiao 3" was close and could have gone either way, while they say "Bradley-Pacquiao" was a robbery.

Both were robberies. Manny took 9 rounds against Bradley and lost 9 rounds to Marquez.

Note-Floyd has only lost 3 total round since coming out of retirement. 2 to Cotto and 1 to Shane. Took 4 against Ortiz and took 12 over Marquez who was rated #2 in the world at the time.

whats funny is, people mention the feet thing. That would be relevant if bradley was having success in the early rounds. but actually Bradley was doing much worse in the early rounds prior to hurting his feet.

Manny took the harder fight so props to him

This is not amatuer boxing. Marquez looked like Sugar Juan Manuel Marquez at the end of one round. Manny missed like 15 punches in a row as he did his little running in thing he does and just chased Juan...not to mention Juan is slow.:deal

Not amatuer boxing man. The 2 hardest punches in the fight were landed by Marquez..end of 4th and 5th or 6th. Clean effective aggression. Manny looked horrible in Marquez 3. I don't understand how anyone can score it for him, and 71% of the fans voting on it agree with me...go figure.

not a robbery, marquez landed a couple of clean shots all night. but manny landed more. could easily have gone either way and press row scoring supports this

I'm fine if you scored it for Manny too. Absolutely no chance Manny took 9 clear rounds over Bradley.

imo manny won 5 clear rounds. And Bradley won 1, that leaves 6 rounds you could argue for either fighter. And luckily for bradley, he got the benefit of the doubt in every round.

here's unnoficial scorecards for both fights to show you there not the same:

    Very nice.

And again, if Marquez was not robbed then neither was Manny with Bradley. Bradley got the right decision if Manny did.

I scored 9-3 for Marquez and I scored it 9-3 for Pac over Bradley. I have 0 bias. Polls also support my claim as do pacquiao fans words when walking out of the MGM the night of the fight.
71% of fans had Manny losing to Marquez in polls.

Again, if Manny beat Marquez then Bradley beat Manny. Both were robberies IMO but for argument's sake, I'll use your logic and say Marquez lost vs Manny and Manny lost vs Bradley.

Can't have it both ways man. There is a video on youtube where Pacquiao fans are walking out of the MGM saying Manny lost to Marquez.

So again, either way you look at it, Manny is 1-1 in his last 2 fights.

i never say he did. i think there are 5 clear manny roundss. so you could argue a bradley win.

IMO it just shows how pro boxing scoring is flawed and doesnt represent who wins a fights.

In pro boxing Boxer A could completely dominate 5 rounds. And 7 rounds could be close rounds that could go either way. And you can end up with Boxer B winning the fight

i don't take much from Fan polls because most fans in all sports are irrational. You get some that will acknowledge what they believe. But most fans are irrational.

I understand. So then I guess we agree that no matter how you look at it, Manny is 1-1 in his last 2 fights.

2nd best punch of the fight came from Marquez at end round 4.

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yU2lQjfcLyA[/ame]

He rocked Manny there and I believe Marquez landed the best punch at the end of round 5 or 6..not sure. Also, Marquez was making Pac look sloppy with the movement he was giving Manny. Manny was expected to blow Marquez out before the fight..6th round KO I believe is what was said by all his fans but of course they never get it right as they don't follow the sport of boxing, just Manny and that puts them at a disadvantage in a debate.:thumbsup

And John, yes I know you watch more than Manny I don't consider you a *******.

    Good debate though!:thumbsup
