Walsall’s Martin Gethin has gone back to his roots to help him prepare for his world-ranked hometown rumble with Carl Johanneson next week.
A place in the IBF’s top 50 and the organisation’s International lightweight title will be up-for-grabs when Gethin goes up against Leeds’ Johanneson

i know its a mick mouse title but should b a good fight rumour has it, it mite b going up to scotland for the burns undercard

Johanneson should've retired years ago

 

Good fight this. Both can punch and both like to fight. Gethin is a come froward brawler who can punch but Johannsenn is a much bigger puncher but has a lesser chin. 50/50 fight this if Johnannsenn turns up in good shape.

Will be attending this for sure. Walsall Wood lad is Gethin and lives just around the corner. Nice to see a humble lad who worked at a brickyard for years work his way through the ranks without the backing of a big promoter. Honest pro who deserves this chance. Much better fight than Cleverly v who?

 

money talks mate, i was going but ay paying £30 for 5 or 6 fights with no 50 50 matches just journey men looking to get thru

 

Saw carl and his trainer Martin last night fights still in Walsall ,as for Carl he's slowed down a bit but still bangs and looking in good shape
