Pavlik has already taken 2 career ending beatings, he is a busted flush, an exposed hype job.

Joke of a fight, Pavlik hasn't done anything since his loss to Martinez in 2010. Still I would definitely watch it because I support Ward but this fight will be one-sided completely, Ward would get more punching a heavybag for one hour than this.

Debating on if this thread is a farce.

Even though I still think Martinez is somewhat over rated, especially in the P4P sense, he is on record as saying Pavlik gave him his toughest fight. Kelly has been working on adding more body punching to his arsenal since then. Kelly started turning that fight around in the 5th once he got Martinez figured out. Add a body assault and I think it happens quicker. Take away weight issues and I can see Pavlik giving Ward a better fight than most here expect.

Mismatch.. I like Kelly, and wouldn't wish this on him.. Prime Kelly had a terrible time against Hopkins, I can't see this version giving Ward much trouble.

How the **** is he an exposed hype job, *******?

His losses are to two future Hall of Famers, one of whom (Hopkins) will rank highly on the All-Time list when all is said and done.

Meanwhile, the guy in your avatar lost to Mikkel Kessler, hardly a future HOFer, and was utterly dominated by Ward. Moreover, he recieved a gift decision over Dirrel.

Indeed, his only claims to fame to date or wins over a rather ordinary Pascal, an overhyped AA, and Lucien Bute. Don't be surprised if Bute doesn't return the favor in a rematch. In any event, none of the aforementioned will ever apprach HOF status.

Pavlik was a hype job, popular for his skin colour.

The best guy he ever beat was J.Taylor. I couldn't even give a **** about his second best win cause it is not worth mentioning.

What has Pavlik done since he beat Taylor? He got beat up twice and has been fighting bums and call out people when he is not even capable of fighting at a B-Level let alone at title level.

To mention Pavlik as a possible fight for Ward is a joke.

Ward, AA, Kessler, Froch would all batter Pavlik something silly.

Sorry bro, find another white hero to worship.

Pavlik was def not a hype job. He came up the hard way and had to wait for his chance... That came in 2007.. first against Miranda and then against Taylor.. In both fights he was for real.. if he kept that form.. he would ve still be MW champion of the world today.. no doubt about...
His inability to handle success and the complete domination he suffered from Hopkins pretty much ended his career as a world class fighter.. He was game against Martinez.. but alcohol and drugs addition became worse after that.. Since then he's a shell of his former self and is only looking for 1 or 2 final pay days.. I hope he gets them and retires happily and healthy.. He always struck as a very nice kid.

Judging by some postings here I really believe there are some Brits that REALLY don't want to see Froch/Pavlik and put down Kelly as loud and often as they can. Wonder why that is. :think.....

He does come off as a nice guy, even though he is a bit of a flake.

But he was a hype job, both his loses are classic examples of cherry picking gone wrong. He was a heavy favorite to win both fights.

Wouldn't want to see Froch Pavlik cause Pavlik is done, he is too scare to fight a B-level fighter cause he is hoping that someone will come along and give him a big pay day and he doesn't want a bad loss to ruin that.

What has Pavlik done since he lost to Martinez to earn a title shot, let alone one at 168?

What had he done at 168 when Froch was calling him out to move up and face him? I guess now that Kelly is an actual SMW Froch forgot about that as has most Brits it seems. Don't worry, Froch already low balled Kelly to get out of that fight. You can breath a sigh of relief now.

How can Kelly be low balled for a world title fight? Is it better for him to stay home and get drunk?

Real Champs take the lower purse and win the title, that is what Hopkins/Martinez did to Pavlik and what Froch did to Bute.

What ever Pavlik had (and personally I do not think he had much) it is gone now, he pissed it away.
