Really????? I hope he hasnt been too busy to watch Martinez's fightsatsch

 

I didnt know that Martinez has fought Geale.

 

I'm out man. You're making no sense and I think my point was pretty clear.:-(

 

Let me spell it out for you.

1. Roach has a severe medical condition which limits the number of hours he can work effectively.
2. Roach has many world class fighters under his belt contesting world title fights.
3. None of Roache's fighters have been matched with Geale.
4. Geale is an unknown in the US, EU (besides Germany) and Australia.
5. Geale has not appeared on any major US fight card.

So why would Roach spend his time watching tape of a unknown fighter on the eve of a major title fight? An unknown fighter who has not fought either Chavez or Martinez. An unknown fighter whose style is different from either Chavez or Martinez. What exactly will he learn?

Amir Khan has complained about the lack of time Roach has spent with him when he was preparing for a major world title fight. And you consider Roach arrogant that he has not watched tape of Geale. Get that in into your head then we can have a sensible discussion.

I'm not taking sides, but this is a pretty rational post.

Australian's seem to get upset if some part of the western world doesn't acknowledge any of our achievements.... We get all uptight (this includes Green and Mundine fans alike) the truth is Australia is a pretty insignificant place.... and yes i'm Australian and live here..go figure hey.

Freddy Roach was probably asked the question and he answered it the way he saw fit. Why do Aussie get all upset if it's not pro-Australian :think.

I love Daniel Geale. I went to the fight in Tassie and got blind and brought a silly auction item. I paid a few thousand and forgot all about it until my mate said you better ring GOS boxing and have them send it to you. Anyway i did and was speaking to the guy on the phone and said mate i was pissed i brought a silly photo at the Geale fight how do i pick it up?? He laughed and said no worries mate... oh btw i'm Daniel Geale....whoops

Great guy and now i have something collecting dust in my garage as a result.

I love the bloke but Roach makes a fair point.

geale needs only the aussie public behind him.

the way to do that is flogging mundine in a local 'superfight'.

geale gets exposure locally, fans and money. he then has the capacity, the logistics to draw the fighters he desires here.
