    Round 5

Felix Jr. moves in and scores with a jab before darting off and vanishing from sight. Felix Jr. is moving in and out, trying to hit and run with the jab. Cruz still seems reluctant to stay on his own jab, committing to those right hands and as a result getting off a moment later than Felix Jr. despite his edge in hand speed. Very strange, watching Cruz just let Felix Jr. out-jab him simply because he isn't throwing his own. Felix Jr. is scoring with lots of jabs, gnat-like, stinging and buzzing around before Cruz can get to him. Felix Jr. is dodging power punches and dropping his head as he circles near Cruz, playing keepaway and only punching when he darts in with those jabs, getting them in high and low.

    10-9 Felix Jr.

    48-46 Cruz

Cruz is starting to settle down a bit, and sit down on his punches a little better now...I'm having some trouble trying to picture how Cruz was able to take a fighter like Juan Carlos Burgos to a Majority Decision loss, just two fights back :huh

A carne asada burrito seemed appropo for tonight. However, it's impossible to type while eating one.

I have the same score as IB, which is pretty typical.

Nice body work by Felix Jr. in the last minute of that round.

Cruz needs to step on the gas and he could get him out of there.

Neither. Just a hole in the wall taqueria down the way. Carne, beans, rice, chile, and a little cheese.

    Round 6

Felix Jr. is still pot shotting with the jab, dancing around Cruz and scoring from the outside. Cruz tries to cut the ring off and sweep out big looping punches at him but isn't able to trap him effectively. Felix Jr. is moving in and out and laterally, bouncing on his toes, staying quick enough to elude Cruz without ever being out of range to land his jab. NICE hook to the face by Felix Jr., and then back to flight.

    10-9 Felix Jr.

    57-56 Cruz

Cruz must be sick or not used to this weight class. In my mind Felix is winning.

Good work by Felix Jr. in that round. I think my feeling of a late round firefight is going to turn out to be wrong. This looks pretty ebb and flow.

Cruz is just following him around the ring, and not letting his hands go. Another thing I don't understand is how Teddy keeps saying Cruz is mentally stronger then Felix, when Jr. is the one who made the adjustments that have won him the last 2 rounds imo...

    Teddy has it level, 57-57.

He scored the 5th level, 10-10.

WTF is wrong with him tonight?
