Denis Boytsov to fight one of three possible opponents on october 12.

    1.Ruslan Chagaev

    2.Konstantin Airich

    3.Denis Bakhtov

Your opinion on which of these three, will be best opponent for Boytsov?

Is this will step in right direction?

Chageav or bust. The other 2 would not help his career at all. He needs to step up already or just retire.

Glazkov beat Bakhtov in his 9th pro fight and just beat Airich in his 13th. Boytsov came out and criticized Universum a few weeks ago. I wish that promotional company would die already so guys like Boytsov and Chakhkiev won't continue to be ruined by them.

Denis Boytsov needs to step up his opponents! he's ranked high in the top 10 by most organisations yet he's fought nobody's! 2nd tier opponents. He does not deserve his ranking at all!
IMO Boytsov has to fight a top 10 fighter to prove himself, he cannot continue to stand in there with bums anymore, his career is becoming boring!
As for Ruslan Chagaev, well. He is nothing special, an average contender at best! does nothing exciting to spark interest in the HW division, If Boytsov decides to fight Chagaev, well... who cares, nobody would wanna pay money to see that fight. I certainly wouldn't. I'd pay to see Boytsov fight Chris Arreola, Tyson Fury, Eddie Chambers, Alexander Povetkin, Tomasz Adamek, Shane Cameron, David Tua, etc...

C'mon Denis.... Step ypur game up before the boxing worold forgets your name completely!

I would prefer Chagaev as an opponent, but Konstantin Airich wouldn't be so bad, we could see how he compares to Glazkov and Solis.

    Yep, Universum sucks carrots.
It's incredible that Denis fought Pala 6 years (!!!) ago, and that still is his biggest win to date. :patsch
I know Bydenko was still hyped when he fought him, but he has proven to be nothing special.

Sorry I butchered your post Butcher, but he himself is a 2nd tiered fighter until he proves he can consistently beat other 2nd tiered fighters like Arreola, Chagaev, Adamek etc.

And you'd rather he fought the chinny CW Cameron or the fat retired ancient Tua than Chagaev? The others, yeah....Arreola, Fury, Chambers, Potvetkin, and Adamek would ALL be HUGE steps in the right direction for a guy who NEEDS to prove he's a worthy contender.

And to the ppl who blame universum.......well, didnt universum just give us Dimitrenko vs Pulev. I mean they try top put their fighters in there with other big names. Hell, why don't Boystov return David Rodriguez call. Universum and GBP were pushing hard for that fight before Denis hurt his hands. He turned it down and fought Firtha or Gavern or some other journeyman. Wello, aint nuthin wrong with his hands no more.....let's see him step up and take that fight finally.:good

Chagaev, granted he's far past his best, but he would still be at least somewhat of a gauge to tell how good Boystov is.

Obviously Chagaev, but it will end up being one of the other two.

I prefer Chagaev of course. It would be a great fight. But , with less than a month for the fight, I doubt. Surely, it will be one of the other two.
