Some of you might remember that in the past whenever Arum talked about this fight, he talked about lining up additional investors to make the fight happen. He said that for a fight of this size they'd have to raise a lot of money, and it can't be done overnight, etc., etc. Plus we've heard stories about investors from all over the world wanting to make this fight.

This is what Curtis wanted to do. He formed a company to help raise cash for this fight, not to exclusively promote Manny from now on. On the radio show Curtis said he knew he could raise that kind of cash. In his interview Bob said that Manny asked him if he was ok with it and Bob said go for it and let me know what I can do. Bob said he liked Curtis and liked his connections with the "urban community". So Bob thinks Curtis is for real and can raise good money. But Bob would still be Manny's promoter. They have a contract. And probably that contract provides that Bob still gets to do a portion of what he usually does in negotiating the venue, contracts, TV, advertizing, concessions and all that, and gets such and such a cut, etc. 50 knows that.

There would have to be a lot of people involved in a fight like this. Plus each fighter has his own company that receives the revenue from the fight for tax purposes, payroll, etc. If you've never looked at all those banners that hang over the ring during a big fight, take a look at them sometime.

And during Ali's time, remember that he fought in huge fights all around the world. Why? Because that's where Don King and Herbert Muhammad found the investors to put up the huge purses and provide the stadiums, the security, hotels and all that.

finally, someone who can focus on things outside of their narrow field of vision. it was starting to feel like i was watching 3 year olds arguing about how babys are made. it is truly comical how *****s will do a 180 on anything they may have said before, just to protect some *** who cant even hold his best friends respect. not that i expected them to rise above such pettiness.

WTF are you talking about ? If your going to say something, at least get it right. The reason Floyd and 50 cent aren't working together had nothing to do with a potential Pacquiao fight. The reason is due to the clash of egos between Floyd and 50 cent. Basically 50 wanted all paperwork and stuff one quickly, in order to make tv deals with network etc for the TMT fighters, once Floyd got out of jail, 50 sent sent him all the paperwork to sign however Floyd just got out of jail, and was ad******g back to life, travelling with his guys and wanted to go through the paperwork with Al Haymon before signing everything. 50 wanted to rush the deal and as result 50 left because he didn't want to wait on Floyd. The problem is you can't rush a business deal like that. 50 should have waited for Floyd to go through the paperwork with Haymon.
