You and MVC should discuss boxing together.

Your level of retartedness is about the same as his.

Andre Ward would be a handful for prime Roy.

    :deal

John Ruiz landed a couple of solid right hands on Jones but wasn't able to do any damage.

Contrary to popular belief, Jones' chin was tested a few times before the Tarver disaster.

I just think Tarver caught Jones at the right time in both a figurative and literal sense. Jones was a dead man walking and Tarver just finished him off...

    LOL...

You need to put down the crack pipe.

Jones' speed would be the deciding factor here.

I think Ward makes it interesting but the question here would be how does Ward deal with Roy's speed?

We've been over this with Rico a million times. Jones was taking bombs from the same Tarver that KO'd him in the first fight lol. Roy didn't go his whole career without being hit cleanly. Montell Griffin landed some nice shots. Hopkins did too. He went through 4 weights before he was ever seriously hurt. I'm not saying he was iron chinned, but he certainly wasn't glass.

Ward makes mistakes that Roy could absolutely feast on. Firstly, the jumping in with his hands down. Roy's timing and reaction time are peerless. Ward also tends to bull forward in straight lines with the jab. Roy's lateral movement is peerless. Ward cannot outbox him. He cannot out time him. He can't outsmart him. He sure as hell can't punch with him. What does Ward have to bother him?

I feel Roy would press ward and stop him with a quick combo in the 4th after landing a big right hand. Dawson even though he was weight drained when he let his hands go ward seemed to just miss ward or hit him. Picture someone faster then any fighter in history letting his hands go.

I think Calzaghe would make it close, coin flip split decision
Gerald McClellan would have beaten Jones too and did so in the Ameteurs
Not to mention Benn and Eubank having a good shot in ther primes

Ward however would get outboxed and possibly stopped

The sad thing is that People tend to over rate Jones as if he was unstoppable when he was flawed like everyone else

Exactly. People forget he's taken good shots during his prime. Tarver just caught Roy at the right time, going back down to 175 was the worst thing Roy could do. Remember how Chris Byrd got knocked out by a nobody when he came down from heavy to 175

A prime Roy Jones was probably the greatest display of speed and power I will ever see in my lifetime. His reflexes allowed him to hit and not get hit despite his lack of technical prowess.

No man is indestructable, but prime RJJ was close. It would take a perfect storm to beat him.

There's a solid reason Joe Cal wanted the crown jewels. That's about what I would want for the level of ass whipping signing that contract brought.
