Quit trying to act smart you fool..

Hopkins was also green with basically no amateur career when Roy beat him?:lol:

You just type **** without even thinking.

You are a Roy hater, and probably a little boy. And unlike Rico, you are no chin expert and are not funny...

    You fail.

but how long will that statement hold water? Surely better SMWs will come along at some point this century?

Roy took Toney's power at 168, he was hit a couple times and made his head snap.. I think it was after round 5, when the announcers actually said they were impressed with Roy's ability to take Toney's "stiff" shots.. Toney's power carried to HW well.

Benn, G-Man hit harder, but they telegraphed a lot of their punches... The chances of them hitting Roy with one of those big shots is slim. Benn also had questionable punch resistance, and against Prime Roy, I would put my money on Roy landing first.

Roy has too many advantages over Calzaghe at 168, I can't see Joe winning..

H2H, Roy Jones is the best 168 ever, end of story.

you idiots who dont box and just put **** up, ROy speed and handspeed and his whole unorthodox fighting style was from a different planet- No fighter in SM, MW and LW could have fought him and won in his prime- maybe 1-2 exceptions here and there but he was froma different planet- You just see his losses but i saw him in his prime and he was an animal and did take a punch or twpo

    Graciano Rocchigiani
Steve Collins 2 weight champion at the time
Nigel Benn 2 weight champion at the time
Michael Nunn 2 weight champion at the time
chris eubank 2 weight champion at the time
    Charles Brewer
    Frankie Liles
    Robin Reid

Roy Jones Jr ran, ducked and dived for cover

HE RAN UP TO LHW TO FIGHT WHO?.....:patsch

everyone can be beat no matter how good they are but it's hard to argue this. a peak jones' talent level may never be seen again. it takes more than talent to win in the ring but jones, although unorthodox, was a complete fighter at that time.

I remember his last SMW fight before moving up, he was in the ring with an interview on HBO, before the fight.

Expressing his frustration about not being able to get top SMW fights...

Some of the fighters you listed (I can't remember the exact ones) were offered big money to fight him, but declined. HBO confirmed..

People were just as reluctant to fight Roy in his prime.. He flat out scared some of the top fighters.

And Roy has some good wins at LHW... He also beat P4P top 3 James Toney at SMW.. So you don't make that much sense anyway.. How many prime fighters has the man in your avatar beat?

Roy always had a dream of fighting at HW... He was not ducking anyone by moving up.

Roy jones jr has NO legacy at 160,,168,,175 or over 200 pounds

He never fought the elite fighters at any weight division he boxed in.

roy jones jr won a vacant middleweight title and made 1 defence he never fought the best at 160 at that time
    John David Jackson
Chris Pyatt and he Ducked the two elite fighters of the division Julian Jackson and Gerald McClellan

A list of the elite fighters at 168 that roy jones was Ducking when he was in that division
    Graciano Rocchigiani
Steve Collins 2 weight champion at the time
Nigel Benn 2 weight champion at the time
Michael Nunn 2 weight champion at the time
chris eubank 2 weight champion at the time
    Charles Brewer
    Frankie Liles
    Robin Reid

BEST at 175 was Dariusz Michalczewsk
roy jones won the vacant wbc title vacanted by Fabrice Tiozzo.
Fabrice Tiozzo lost his wba title to Virgil Hill then came back and beat Mike McCallum for the WBC light heavyweight title.

Dariusz Michalczewski beat Virgil Hill for the undisputed light heavyweight championship and holds the record for the most consecutive successful title defenses at light heavyweight 23 defenses. He was champ for 9 years an had a incredible 48 and 0 winning run

roy jones ducked prime Dariusz Michalczewski for 8 years and did not fight him even when he was shot

why did jones fight 35yr old taver instead of Michalczewski?......:think

why did jones fight ruiz instead of lennox lewis?.......... :think

Roy jones was never HW champion of the world....NEVER

Too the people that hype on about prime jones jr take off the rose tinted glasses he lost too a bunch of old guys anyway
    Antonio Tarver was 35
    Glen Johnson 35
    Danny Green 35
Bernard Hopkins 45 and joe calzaghe was 36 and at the very end of his career

Joe got caught yes but he also proved to have a solid chin, he only went down once at supermiddleweight in my eyes from being hurt, the second time was against Kabary Salem but during the weigh in at that fight Calzaghe and Salem were ready to fight then so I put that knockdown on Joe's mental state.

When Calzaghe is hurt he does fight back, Look at how Byron Mitchell reacted from being caught when he tried to finish off Calzaghe.

As for Kessler were talking about a prime SMW who was running through opponents and knocking them out but lost a 9-3 decision against Calzaghe, Bika was getting clowned early on until he started using rough house tactics like low blows and headbutts and Reid was a former champion and olympian early on in Joe's Career.

Im not saying Joe can definitely win, I see Jones had a talent despite the steroid fiasco when he was caught against Richard Hall but like I said if anyone could beat Jones it would be someone who could keep up with him. Hence Calzaghe.

The fight should have happened after Mitchell when Calzaghe and Jones were both closest to their peaks but Jones decided to move to HW in an over rated win. Yes Ruiz was bigger compared to Roy Jones but he was hardly a force at heavyweight considering Jones wouldnt fight Lennox Lewis and was targeting Holyfield/Tyson instead.

As for Montell Griffin he was just another fighter that Jones was set up to look good against minus the unfortunate mishappen in the first fight

Jones could have proved himself by fighting stiffer competition but didnt want to fight Dairuisz Michaelzweski at LHW or anyone who could match him and thats why he looked "invincible"

Like I said, Calzaghe-Jones is a coin flip in their primes

Serious question for you, do you want an intelligent debate, or are you just baiting people?

I'll gladly debate with you if you want?

    Regards, Loudon.
