Obviously a trainer who's more defensively minded could improve him, if he's willing to listen and take things on board. Get the impression from Khan though that he thinks he knows it all. Doesn't seem to follow instruction well.

    Put some names out there.

He is hiring either Virgil Hunter or Pedro Diaz.

No trainer can fix him without shakes. Perhaps Manny Steward can help him. I doubt it though. Nazim maybe. Virgil has Ward to worry about.

Virgil Hunter would be a great choice. Khan has no inside game whatsoever and all Virgil fighters are well-schooled in in-fighting, none more so than Andre Ward.

Knowing how to in-fight would also help Khan avoid looking like a deer in the headlights when he inevitably gets clocked on his fragile chin again.

It always astounds me when you see top level fighters completely neglect infighting. Kessler, Wladimir, Khan, Margarito etc.

Problem is, some guys tend to be good at one thing and then neglect everything else. Especially punchers, once they fall in love with their power.

I was one of the few critics from the beginning, with that chin it's just not a style match. Khan is a bit like Wlad now, good height and reach, excellent speed and jab, a little stationary and a suspect chin, get Manny.

You'd think that to get to the level of the 4 guys mentioned, you'd have to be competent in all areas though. It shows just how good they are in their specialised areas, that they can almost completely neglect such an important area of the sport, and still win multiple world titles.

I think no trainer taught Khan defence, fighting going backwards and or fighting in the pocket.

Freddie roach tried is best, he told him on numerous occasions stay out of the pocket after three punches, but he didn't listen and garcia knocked him out. Apparently Enzo calzaghe name as been banded about.

The problem isn't the trainer, its the air between Khans ears and his inability or unwillingness to listen.

I find it very weird that a guy who never went through the conventional British, European Title route is a 2 time world champ fighting on HBO. He's not a complete fighter. It seems like he doesn't want to put in the hard work and learn on his mistakes/limitations.

no matter who it is, its tough to avoid every power shot thrown. i like khan but the kid cannot take a punch. no trainer is going to change that. there are a lot of things he can tighten up and should have years ago, and maybe another trainer will be able to do that but he's going to get hit and he's not going to ever react well to getting hit. is what it is.

No matter what trainer Khan gets,it wont help getting his chin stronger....The fights he have lost is to fighters with a punch and he really is a brilliant boxer, but when it comes into a war,he try´s to be Manny pac. and trying to exchange...but his chin is to weak, everybody knows it,and khan could really outbox alot of the topdogs...But if he gets in wars,he is often the looser...I guess its just his limmits as a fighter...
