Bull ****ing ****. Calzaghe made it clear he wanted no part of Froch because Froch was a nobody. Froch was calling Calzaghe out like crazy and Calzaghe acted like he was on another planet.

    Frank Waren=the british Bob Arum.

    **** Frank Wank

Also, can we take this thread seriously? Because the OP has a picture of Calzaghe in his avatar. So question marks arise...

    :patsch

Yeah Frank, because Froch has a long history of avoiding tp opposition, doesn't he?

Shut the **** up and actually get a respectable opponent for your latest Welsh fraud, Nathan Cleverly.

Nope ive heard this before. I think it was around the time of the salem fight. Frank offered it to him and he turned it down. Im sure froch has admitted this. U cant blame froch for at that time turning it down if he did. He was a pro novice so ****** comments on this matter are irrelevent. This fact doesnt mean anything logically.

Froch was offered the Calzaghe fight and turned it down.

This was long before Froch was reckoned to be any good, it's worth noting. He wasn't ready and knew it, Calzaghe was in his prime, whilst Froch was a relative novice.

I very much doubt he was offered a fortune though.

Why would team Calzaghe offer a novice, when the had possibly better options at the time?

this part is very believable. Remember Calzaghe built his legacy on taking on fighters who had acheived nothing and posed no apparent danger(rather than decent contenders), so he would readily have given young Froch a chance.

    Exactly.

Beat a young Froch who may or may not have done anything in future.

If he did nothing, it's ''I ruined Carl Froch.....'', if he had the run he's had, it's ''I beat a top fighter who went on to have a great career....''

    No lose situation.

This I can believe. Frank W is a slimy **** of the highest order though. This is the guy who Calzaghe sued for unpaid earnings, remember...
