How can anyone possibly think Tua will tire? If anyone's tiring here it's Charles who will have to constantly be on the run. I think Charles can do this on points but Tua can end it at any point if he catches him right.
because barring a few exceptions, he really never showed tremendous punch output or the ability to keep pressure on his man. the byrd fight, the lewis fight, even david izon...he was hardly joe frazier. he was just plodding left hooker. maybe tua won't tire but that's because he won't be throwing any punches, just waiting for an opening that likely won't come
Why are you seriously debating w the usual crew of Marciano nut huggers ? You know they live for this ... in addition they disservice their own idol with their ridiculous statements .. The Charles that fought Marciano was still a dangerous fighter but like any aging fighter had to adjust his style to accommodate for age .. in Charles case he moved less and fought more than the 1949 version. The tapes prove this .. while it proved effective, at times, against lesser guys it proved fatal against a prime Marciano ... Charles was not going to out punch Marciano over 15 rounds. To attempt to was the only option he had as his legs could no longer carry him for 15 rounds. This is not rocket science but a few usual suspects here refuse to honestly look at the match ups and instead claim Charles, like Walcott and Moore were all in their primes at ancient ages against Rocky to justify the fact that all gave him tough fights, bring their idol down to mortal status .. the reasoning is silly, their personal attacks on those who question them hilarious and their holy quests childish, bordering on fanatical and ignorant but consistent ... and watch, they cannot help themselves but respond again and again and again ..
Marciano his chin was also sometimes questionable. He got dropped by both Archie and Walcott, which were the hardest punchers he faced. But he had the heart to become what he was, he also had a great trainer. He's good but far away from being the best.
I typed it totally wrong. I didn't want to say he had a bad chin or anything. But he never faced any true powerpunchers and both Walcot and Archie dropped him.(Louis was getting too old) They're good, but no foreman.
judging by his prime in the ibeabuchi fight, i'll give you that. it's more his delivery system that's in question for me
