I mean....I can't blame him. Floyd has accomplished more than he ever imagined in this sport. Motivation has been harder attain when there's a short supply of BIG fights that would get Floyds hear rate up. I've been hard on Floyd since the whole Pac ordeal but I do respect what he's done in the sport. I just hope he can get his gambling habits under control....without boxing Floyd won't have the kind of money flowing in to support that kind of lifestyle.

Can someone please show me where in the past month or so, Team PAC have said that they're pushing for a Mayweather fight this Winter? I seem to remember Cotto being their first choice. So how is Mayweather ducking Pac?

If Team PAC offered to fight Mayweather this winter and he outright refused then I'd consider that a case of ducking but nothing remotely like that has happened so I'm not getting where these ducking accusations are coming from. Simple minded people perhaps.

Pac's team was already planning his fight against Cotto...I don't see how that's Floyd ducking.

where have you *****s been? 50 through his TMT promotions is trying to make the megafight. pac was waiting to sign-up on other opponents since they are talking with TMT. floyd mentioned something about making the big fights with his friend 50 until he was told that one of the big fights is him versus pacquaio. floyd suddenly lost his urge once again. lol

Where did Floyd say he was going to fight again since he's been out?

He hasn't. But just prior to going in jail, he said he was going to stay in shape, and he wanted to fight before the year was out. Now since he's come out, apparently prison has changed him, and he doesn't know whether he wants to fight again. All the while, 50 has been trying to negotiate for him to fight Manny next year.

    Regards, Loudon.

50 is/was doing his best to try and get the fight signed for early next year. But in the last couple of months, Floyd has gone from saying "I want to fight again and stay in shape etc" and now all of a sudden it's "I'm not thinking about fighting at the moment, and I don't know what the future holds etc"

    50 is pissed off!

    Regards, Loudon.

So people here actually think that Mayweather Jr is scared to fight a boxer that just lost to JMM and Bradley? ESB at it's best - full of rational posters.

They were on for fighting Mayweather in spring 2013 and possibly skipping Marquez/Bradley/Cotto fight this winter to go straight for Mayweather next year. I think Pacquaio said he wanted Mayweather this winter a few months back too and that he was saying it to Arum. Plus the fact that they are weeks late in announcing their opponent and kept delaying the announcement makes it look like they were in negoiations with 50 cent. But in a way you are right, Pacquaio didn't decisively call out Mayweather (not that I remember), although if he had Mayweather could have given an unreasonable offer again and made Pacquaio look bad for not agreeing to it. I think both camps kept it quiet this time as more public relations haven't worked out in the past. But if Mayweather takes a break again, goes to wrestlemania again, then I'm sorry but he is ducking a Pacquaio fight in early 2013 imo.

Please read what you just wrote because I'm afraid to have to say it but it sounds to me like bull crap. I'm sorry but I have to be blunt.

Now ask yourself, what does Mayweather Jr have to fear about Pacquaio?

Just think rationally for a moment.

    Put yourself in Mayweather's shoes.

Ignore all the gibberish that you've been hearing in the news headliners lately.

Forget that your a fan for just one moment.

Ask yourself what he has to fear that's supposedly making him duck Manny?

Here's some more food for thought:

    You're in Mayweather shoes...

For the past 3 years expecting to fight a Mosley (that turned up in the Margarito fight), an Ortiz (the one that turned up in the Berto fight) and a re-invigorated Cotto (the one that turned up in the 2nd Cotto).

Yet people claim here that he's scared to fight the Pacquaio that turned up in JMM 3 and Bradley fights.

C'mon people, use some common sense.
