Sergio is overrated. Chavez has the style to win this fight. And more importantly, THE CHIN to win this fight. In my opinion Chavez is on drugs which will make him much stronger than Martinez and much better at taking punches. Look at Pacman - wobbled by JMM at 135 and then walking through Margarito and Cottos punches at 147. PEDs can do amazing things. Chavez throws primarily hooks which I believe will be to his advantage because Sergio is susceptible to getting hit with hooks as he tries to move away from his opponents. Chavez has some very good moves that he uses to get inside, lots of feints and upper body movement. He will bang away to the body and head and walk through whatever Sergio has to give. He will be showboating as Sergio does his walk around the ring all the time and then throws his pitter patter punches which will sway the judges to Chavez's side. Sergio is old and his stamina is going. All Chavez has to do is last the distance and make the fight slightly competitive to get a decision. You should not bet on Martinez in this fight
just make threads about who is going to win in the next 500 fights worldwide in the next week or so,i think even a clueless twat like you could get at least 1% right .
Chavez might get a decision tonight, though I expect Martinez to appear to be the superior fighter. Martinez is probably the most overrated fighter on the planet. A damn good fighter, but some way adrift of the big 3, yet people have him in the top 3.
If Chavez is strong, I think his body shots will be too much for Martinez. That's a big "if" though because I thought he looked terrible at the weigh in and is clearly underweight at 158lbs. If he's drained, Martinez might stop him but if Chavez comes in like he did against Lee, I think he's got a great chance of winning.

Hes too big for a blown up junior middleweight! Martinez struggled with the size of Pavlik and Williams he won't see round 3! Martinez is old now and hasn't looked good in routine defences against journeymen Macklin and Barker.
By the way Lirv, there's a huge difference between a hard, accurate puncher than a limited turd in Margarito.
