That's what I'm unsure of, I don't know why he doesn't fight a declining Pacquaio and making his biggest payday, if he is so interested in a) making money and b) fighting the best (recent quote went something like 'If I wanna be the best I have to beat the best' on thread about Mayweather's opinion on Ward - Dawson). Why take this break when Pacquaio is looking for an opponent, when his best friend set up a promotional company to set up the fight and then say he doesn't want the fight right now.. Obviously there is some reason, Pacquaio is still a great fighter I guess, despite his baggage still has good power speed and chin, and maybe Floyd feels his own legs are going, as some people are saying after the Cotto fight (he is 35 after all, reflex fighter, legs usually the first things to go with age). I can't get inside Mayweather's head but it defies his own logic as to why he won't fight Pacquaio.

floyd is a calculating dude. he fought mosley several years too late. fought cotto 4 years late. he felt that pac still poses some danger for his health (floyd's own words) even if boxing fans saw a decline from pac. remember that this version of pac still made a young, prime and slick p4p fighter in bradley use a wheelchair for several weeks. floyd would fight pac, maybe, but as soon as he is not a threat anymore.

Yes! I thought that was obvious with his behavior over the last three years. Go and look at his interviews and his outbursts, and see how many times he's contradicted himself.

Do you think he lost to Bradley?

Haven't you ever wondered why all of Manny's other opponents are happy to fight him, and don't kick up a fuss like Floyd does regarding testing?

Have you ever wondered why, when Manny looks impressive "he has to be on roids!" But when he doesn't, Floyd keeps quiet?

Don't you think it's strange that Floyd didn't want any part of Manny, and then after Marquez gave Manny a tough fight, all of a sudden Floyd said "I'll fight him!"? Because of his own dominant performance over Marquez, it gave his confidence a huge boost!

Then when 50 was on board, they were going to take over the world, and everyone was happy. He wasn't bothered about jail, he wanted to fight again and keep busy etc, etc.

    AND THEN

50 mentions Manny, and it's "Yeah right now I'm not focused on fighting" It's ****ing embarrassing!

Can't you see what's happening? It's right in front of you! It's ****ing obvious that he doesn't want to fight Manny. Why do you think his family started the Roids rumours up in the first place?

    Floyd is a joke!

Why doesn't he fight him then if what your saying it would be such easy work for him? Btw I think you may be over-estimating Ortiz and 're-invigorated' Cotto.

If Mayweather used some 'common sense' then he should fight a fading Pacquaio who stylistically should suit his counter-punching style, and make a career high payday in doing so, and money is obviously important to him the way he brags about PPV sales, places big bets shows off with stacks of cash etc.

Mosley has been shot for years, apart from his one last hurrah against Marg. He couldn't beat Mora, and was getting beat up by Mayorga until the last few seconds.

Cotto has never been the same since the first Marg defeat.

The man is obsessed with money! He's in the cheque cashing business. All he talks about is his money team. Manny's cheque is there to be cashed. But he won't cash it because he thinks Manny's on roids. It's embarrassing!

Do you seriously think that if Marquez, Cotto, Hatton, Bradley etc, etc, all definitely thought that he was on roids, they'd all have been happy to fight him?

Why doesn't Juan Marquez want him to be tested in the same way Floyd does? Ha!

The guy's a joke! He'll be praying that Marquez stops Manny, so he can tell people that he beat Marquez, and a fight with Manny isn't relevant.

Think rationally? Why would you make drug testing a mandatory stipulation against a fighter if you aren't impressed on some level? He never asked for it against Marquez, yet he did against Manny. Honestly, how could you NOT see that as an admission of concern?

When has Arum or PAC said they were trying to make the Mayweather fight? I can show you where Arum says they are definitively not looking to make this fight, but I'll allow you to post yours first.

Same goes to Mayweather, its not like he was trying to make the fight either.
He is not focused on fighting. Pacquiao is on the decline but still fighting this December.

How many times does Mayweather need a break?
