holy ****!! yes, you can like calzaghe all you want but you post here is comical. in boxing terms, joe was the ultimate coward. those of us that were around and followed his career understand this. nothing is more overrated than an undefeated pro boxing record. you get to pick who and fight and when you fight them. joe was a good fighter but his career was manufactured to make his fans think he was great by keeping his "undefeated" record.

Only after Lacy made the big mistake of thinking Calzaghe would be easy pickings did the US networks take any notice, and only then did he get any access to the "big names". Before that he had to take what he could get. It's been a lot easier for Ward, with his own vanity project tournament set up for him by the TV company, to be held in his back yard, and run by their pet officials. The other Andre was obviously meant to be the other finalist, all he had to do was not suck too bad, but he ****ed that up for himself. If Sky set up a similar tournament back in the day, wherein all Calzaghe's fights took place in Wales, my guess is that Joe would have looked equally good.
