My friends aren't really into combat either but we usually pre-party at my place anyways before we hit the town, so they are being forced to watch regardless :smoke Get them in the room when a fight is on, and they will conform to it. I remember sneaking off into my buddies house during a party and going upstairs to watch Jones jr/Ruiz, slowly, everyone made there way up and about 30 people were packed into the room watching Jones toy with Ruiz for the belt :happy
I'll probably buy it for precisely that reason, but it still bugs me since as a rule I try to avoid Top Rank PPVs as it is and it's especially annoying in this case that they elbowed in on a date another company had clearly already claimed.
I will only have PPV parties if I'm SURE the fight will deliver. I did it for Cotto/Pac and Cotto/Marg to great effect. Tonight is a WINNER for sure. Of course, there's always the possibility of a scorecard robbery to **** everything other.
I'm supporting the fight in general. Just like Cotto-Margarito 1, this fight comes at the worst possible time for me financially. :tired I'll still be opening my dusty wallet and supporting the show though by ordering the PPV. Can't wait for tonight.
Depressing, man. I'd invite you over but you're in Ireland (?) and I'm in the southwest USA. :-( ****in sucks not having friends into boxing. Got a couple somewhat introduced with erraticboxing's old reels :rofl :deal Though with this particular fight I only had to send the YT link of the Face Off preview to get them to buy into it. Boxing starves for night's like these. :yep
Damn right boxing needs these types of nights. Haven't had a MW title fight like this in a while, it's one of the premier divisions at that. Mostly my mexican buddies are really interested in this out of the casual lot, so I'm talking tons of **** to them about their puto Jr :yep
Jesus Wept :rofl :yep Girl and her whole fam is Mexican. It's been a fun build-up, I'm salivating over the prospects of seeing Junior stretched out cold. :deal
Its just going to be like when that other 'pretty boy' took care of SR in Vegas nearly 20 yrs ago :yep
