Is Martinez the first fighter in history to score an EVT win and a UD?

I think we can all agree, based on how Martinez comported himself in the final round, with no holding, trading bombs like a warrior against the much bigger, younger, stronger man, that he won the Event IN ADDITION to winning the fight.

Are there other examples of this wild and crazy anomally in boxing history?

He definitely won both, but boxing history is rich enough to find other occasions.

He's the first however to score both with punches, event skills AND very attractive looks.

Good point, BB. His Greek-God-like facial structure, combined with his Adonis body structure and more than modest manhood, offer him a truly unique spot in the Pugilistic history books.
