chavez is like the Simpsons episode where Homer just tires out his opponents by taking punches.

What Chavez Jr. did to Martinez in round 12 can't guarantee that the former can do it to the latter again in the rematch, OK?

I think this is the fight that Chavez became a man. He looked like a little boy out there lost without a clue on what to do. This was a learning experience for him, something he needed.

In a rematch Sergio will most likely be 38 years old fighting a determined 27 year old to finish what he started in round 12. I want to see what he does after what he learned tonight.

What weakness? He got schooled by a 37 year old who pressed the whole time. He has no discipline and looked like a fat Margarito out there. Martinez just got careless, he was fighting with his hands down and was taunting Jr pretty much the whole fight.
It was an easy victory for Martinez.

There's a spanish saying, el susto se convierte a gusto.

What you fear you'll grow to love.

That last round put that taste in Chavez' mouth.

It was a lucky punch Maravilla was whipping that boy all night. Maravilla didn't even sit on most of his punches he'll tko Jr in a rematch. I give Jr respect for his heart como mexicano, but to say he's on Maravilla's level and he'll knock him out next time nucca please! Why didn't he do it in this fight? More bs from Jr thats what I dont like about this dude. Lucky punch nothing more.

I think people giving Chavez a good chance to win in the rematch aren't delusional at all. I feel that a big part of Chavez's identity is bravado; balls. He feeds off seeing his will imposed, his punches having an effect and just being confident. He has lost, but he showed he can take the punches and hurt Martinez. Not too shabby for a guy who most felt doesn't even deserve a MW title. I'm a fan of both, Martinez won me over by his heart, same with Chavez. Let's do it again, I'd take Chavez (and be nervous the entire time, but hey that's what made that 12thI round so awesome).

He's 37 and Jr couldn't even keep up with him. Outboxed that pink underwear wearing ass.

There better not be a damn rematch. He was putting hands on Chavez Jr. all night. Round 12 is the only round that Chavez clearly won, and that is only because of the knockdown. It's about time for Martinez to fight Golovkin, or Pirog. Fight somebody who has a chance to beat you, and will be competitive.
