I don't understand why Chavez fought that way tonight. He should have used his damn physicality!

Nice to know its not just obnoxious Americans that **** talk pre-fight and fail to deliver

Thats probably the last we see of Chavez. Good riddance

That is definitely not the last we'll see of Chavez. He's a massive draw.

And the kid deserves respect, he got more or less beat up for most of that fight but never once thought about quitting and in that last round when a lot of fighters might have just settled for a points loss he was still pressing the action and nearly got a Rocky-esque win.

There might be a lot of dodgy stuff associated with him but he's a true fighter.

chavez dropping sergio in rnd 12 made his stock/popularity grow.

    no need for a rematch!

I was out, didn't get to see the fight so I was getting the update from u guys. Sounds like sergio gave chavez a boxing lesson but the guy is still strong enough to put sergio down. I will see this fight when its available. Chavez just sounds well dodgy that he can take all these punishment and yet strong enough to almost stop sergio in the last round. If he is on ped then he is no true fighter, a fraud rather.

How is it a 'great' performance when you nearly get knocked out in the first round against a guy who is apparently levels below you that you've dominated for 11 rounds?
