I watched the 12th round again. Martinez was COMPLETELY recovered by the 30 second mark of the 12th round. I watched it in German without the biased HBO crew and it wasn't even that bad when I first watched it. Chavez hits Martinez with a right hand then gets him in the ropes, and Martinez falls down. He immediately gets back up, starts trading with Chavez, Chavez gets him in a head lock then Martinez falls down again. He then immediately gets back up, starts landing some leather on Chavez, then completely recuperates during the 30 second mark. Chavez see's this and basically gives up. =[

If only Chavez didn't mysteriously decide to take the first 11.5 rounds off, I guess we will never know why he did it...

I ordered the fight on PPV.. I couldn't look after the knockdown cause the HBO crew were hyping **** up, I thought Martinez was really hurt. So then I watched the 12 round again in German.. and honestly it wasn't even that bad.

Sergio looked to be in real trouble and I was surprised/impressed by how quickly he recovered.

It's more like Sergio saved Chavez from an embarrassing shutout by giving him one good shot. Then Sergio saved himself from an embarrassing KO. Sergio wins.

What's with all this ¨Martinez was completely recovered¨ crap

He was just trying to survive there in the last moments, he busted a ligament in his right knee with the first fall, that's why he couldn't get on his bycicle and run from Chavez in panic when things got ugly, if the match was longer Martinez wouldn't have gone nowhere except the canvas again.

Blah blah he dominated 11 rounds..that's never gonna change the fact he was the one who kissed the canvas and was.....

Martinez still performed well however, dominating the Mexican cruiserweight for 11+ rounds, quite a feat for a small middleweight.
