Sergio would take his beating and pay check like a man. Then thank Mayweather for giving him the opportunity to fight.

    Pacquiao is no longer relevent...

I really rate floyd but think martinez could be his kryptonite. Martinez has the ability to hurt mayweather more than any fighter he has ever faced. Floyd will have problems with a fighter like martinez, who is unorthodox and quick footed. Plus I can't see mayweather hurting martinez enough to gain respect.

Your idol is a coward and still scared to fight Pac or Martinez.
It is a shame that he expects other boxers to do what he should do.

After last night, i have Sergio either P4P #2 or #3 behind Floyd and inter-changable with Ward. He is already above Pacquiao for me.

Martinez was the guy who said Chavez wasn't even in top 100. Sorry, but when you nearly lose to the 101st p4p guy and your goal is to be #1, you tend to lose just a little bit of your clout.

Martinez is a good boxer. But in all honesty, that Chavez fight didn't do any favors for him other than give him more HBO exposure.

    :nono wrong noob.

You simply can't fail to put a one legged no powered Tim Bradley away and expect people to respect you as though you are Sergio Martinez

Very good post, however I disagree...Mayweather possesses all the tools to break Martinez down...

:The only way to beat Martinez conclusively (other then KO) is to have a good start and stay ahead on the cards either by high workrate, boxing on the backfoot & dancing from the outside...or getting K'D's...then you have to survive the latter part of the fight...not getting Ko'd.

    Mayweather TKO 11

Maybe so and i would never bet against floyd. However, this version of floyd is more suited to martinez's style. For me mayweather would have to become what he used to be because this mayweather who is happy to stand in the pocket, lay on ropes and trade, would i feel get tagged and stopped by sergio in the later rounds.
