Tucker would have won! Big, strong, good fundamentals. Spinks would not have been physically strong enough, his right hand wouldn't have significantly troubled Tucker. Spinks' awkwardness would have been a nuisance, but I like Tucker by something like a 8-4 UD.

Tucker was way more dangerous than Cooney was in '87, but Tucker had no ticket selling capabilities..... Cooney gave Spinks a nice $7 million dollar payday.... Tucker could only muster up a 1/4 of that at best in '87...... No **** is the reason why Spinks went on to fight Cooney....

LOL, yes in 1987 the IBF still had 'Championship distance'. Lee may of been a crook, but at least he let the more 'classic' orientated boxing fancy have a few more years of contentment.

TB, of course you are right mate, I had forgotten that IBF fights at the time were still 15 rounders...in that case, I'll change my prediction to Tucker by stoppage in rounds 13,14 or 15!!!

:patsch You ****in' idiot, Tucker usually showed a good beard, a good jab and could hit well enough. No way Cooney would blow him away, I assume you're a relative of Cooney?

I pick Spinks, but it's a significantly tougher fight than the Cooney fight was for about 1/4 of the money. Of course he took Cooney on instead. Smart.
