    I think you're right. It makes sense, but in the meantime, they should get Lara some type of championship fight. A belt always brings interest. I noticed that Lara tweeted K9 and said he'd love to fight him after he beats up Vanes.

    Some great points

    Money issue of putting Cotto, Trout, Ortiz and Canelo on the same card, this theory is providing Canelo and Ortiz take a lower purse, i think they would, Canelo has fluttered with his purses and i dont beleive he's the type of guy who worries about money before his opponent providing its not a ridiculous gamble

    If they can pay Canelo $1M and Ortiz $250'000 - $450'000 (rough figures) for me i think its a go'er, they are similar numbers to Canelo Mosley as a co main

    I know Cotto Trout isnt gonna generate mega bucks but i think it can be done if GB cut there profit margin based on the potential Cotto vs Alvarez cinco de Mayo showdown :deal

    As you said, huuuuuuge fight !!

    For me i think its a matter of patience and perseverance with Lara

    He is a top level fighter in terms of ability right now but unfortunately for him he's not selling any tickets, all in good time

    It does to me, but the boxing world must move on

    They cannot wait around for Floyd to make decisions, this fight is there for Floyd and the minute he wants it GB will have a contract on his desk guarantee'd

    Molina and Kirkland would be the only acceptable opponents(who are also available) for a December fight as I'm sure he wants to avoid the backlash of another Lopez type matchup...

    Would absolutely love for the above to happen, mate.

    I think they'd have to put it on PPV for it to be possible though, and there's no chance of that happening with Pacquiao vs Marquez the week after on HBO PPV.

    Cotto is ALL about the cash nowadays (who can blame him? He's had a tough but wonderful career) as he looks for a few retirement paydays, and fair play to him. He'd have to accept a lesser purse than promised in order to accomodate this as the co main event and i don't think he'd be willing.

    Maybe if he sees the bigger picture and realises it'd be a great opportunity to hype up a fight with Canelo that bit more, give it a better promotion and bring it to the general publics attention, he could run with it and hope it pays off long-term.

    Cotto or Lara would be good fights, for Alvarez, although may be to risky.

    Cotto vs Lara is another good fight but don't think it happens.

    I would just to like see him with someone in his weight class, simple as that. I mean at least someone like Rosado or even Spinks for God's sake:DI don't care who but someone in his weight class.

    I felt terrible for Lopez , dont like to see anybody get beat like that. He never had a prayer the poor fella. The fight should never of been made. But at least he showed bravery that Canelo doesn't.
