Chavez Junior V Kelly Pavlik next - is it a logical choce?

It was predicted a month ago it would happen. Pavlik beats Chavez Jr. It would be a tough fight for him now.

Id love to see this fight, logically at 168.
We'll get to se what Kelly has left in

Chumpez Junior is probably the only winnable "big" fight for the drunk at this point.

At 168 Pavlik would get slaughtered by Ward, Kessler, Froch, Bute, ect.

But Chumpez Jr, even a shot Pavlik might be too much for Chumpez.

probably, not so sure about Bute. Honestly
I felt Pavlik was better at 16017 but those days are gone.

 

even the current pavlik would maul jr but it would be a very fun fight to watch. its never been a good idea to stand in front of kelly and use the whole of the face to block his right hand. that is exactly what would happen.

chavez is a poor man's kelly pavlik. it would be a bad idea for jr to go from a UD schooling to be stopped by a guy not even in the top 10 at smw.

say what you will about pavlik but he's not duddy, lyell, manfredo, rubio, etc...the guy's jr. has made his "name" fighting. not trying to rip jr. because i like the kid, just saying.

 

I'm not very neutral, on the one hand I'm not a big Pavlik fan, but on the other hand I hate Jr. Having been honest and said that, I can also say with honesty, I don't think Jr. has the power to hurt Pavlik. Kelly on the other hand has the power to hurt Jr. especially to the body. If they were to fight next it would be a great fight, but ultimately I see Kelly having the upper hand with superior skill, experience and power. Wearing Chavez out to the body, and the solid left hook upstairs he has been working on. I still think the fight goes to a decision, but Pavlik would win by a very comfortable margin.

 

There were times in the fight that it looked like Martinez had Jr. ready to quit. Getting hit by Pavlik........

 

getting hit over and over again by a banger who is bigger than him? not only that but, while jr is a big strong kid, he's not an enormous puncher...not like everyone is making out. he outweighs these mws by 20lbs. duddy, lyell, rubio all heard the cards read and these are not big mws and they are all there to be hit...hell pavlik made rubio quit on his stool.

prime miranda hits harder than jr imo and pavlik walked through all that.

i'll have none of it...pavlik would stop jr. entertaining for sure, but this ends with jr in a pile of himself.
