the only people that are interested in a rematch are chavez jr. fans, i for one dont care for it but wouldnt mind if martinez earned a good payday and another easy win plus hopefully this time he will KO junior

boxing is a business and this is the fight where martinez will make the most money in except maybe a fight vs floyd

    :hat

I think he could make comparable money in fights against Cotto and Canelo as well. He only made like 1.3 mill or something like that. Would not be hard at all at this point to make that vs Cotto or canelo.

Chavez Jr doesn't deserve the rematch on 1 good round out of 12. He looked massive, slow and got outclassed by a 37 year old.
Martinez in the other hand trained hard, keeps in good shape year round and even though got knocked down, fractured his hand and tore knee ligaments, he never backed down from the cruiser weight looking Chavez.

Chavez just needed to throw more and it would have been a different fight. I dont think Sergio really ever hurt Chavez.

The last round makes a plausible request for a rematch. I can understand why people would want to see it.

Though I personally feel Martinez would just end up outclassing him again. Even easier the second time round.

If I were Martinez I would take the rematch... but putting my own rules. If Fatboy wants a chance to avenge this loss he should pay for it.

It should be on regular HBO. Im not paying for it unless Chavez gets paid by how many punches he throws. Last night he wouldve made 10 thousand dollars.

gotta agree with you even though sergio threw and landed way more punches on jr the few that julio landed really hurt martinez, most of martinez jabs and rights were potshots, and watching it from the thomas and mack the crowd created great atmosphere with many mexicans and argentinians, and this loss will humble julio and make him prepare better

I'm sure when he broke his nose, or ripped at his body repeatedly it hurt.

I dont think Martinez was to keen on a rematch whats the point he really won about 35 of the 36 minutes of the fight ive got a feeling they would make sure he loses a decision in a rematch just to get a trilogy and Martinez might feel the same way.
