    No.

Does Chavez Jr. really deserve half of what he gets? Did he deserve the WBC belt? Did he deserve a $3mil guaranteed payday? Does he deserve to be considered a star in the sport because he beat Manfredo Jr, Rubio, Andy Lee, and Zbik?

No, he does not DESERVE a rematch.

Generally any champ who takes a fight like this one, deserves to get a rematch. I mean everyone is entitled to their opinion but he took a huge risk that he didn't have to take, if he wants the rematch and it makes both guys money, why not?

Martinez was the mandatory, hence no rematch clause as would have been the case if this had been a voluntary defense.

Whether or not a rematch is warranted, it will be more exciting than the first one. Count on it.:deal

Sergio showed us that he is about 3 times better than Chavez last night.

And to those saying, "well if it makes dollars than do it."

So then I guess Oscar De La Hoya coming back makes sense because the casual fan would still buy his fights.

No reason for a rematch and if they do one, then hopefully they'll show it on regular HBO, not PPV.

There are more interesting fights for each man to move onto.

Perhaps sometime down the road a rematch would make better sense.

Sergio has dominated 160. 154 is deeper.

honestly... if SM just popped and move in round 12 like he was doing all 11.5 rounds... we wouldnt even be asking this question.....IMO a rematch would be more of the same...but SM would be smarter at the end of the rematch fight.... IMO, same result.... just like Roach said.."he is to fast for us"

    No.

Chavez should fight GGG next, and Pirog should fight Geale.

Martinez should fight whoever wins those matchups.

Thats if he decides to stay at 160 which I wouldnt advise. Martinez should go back down to 154.
