What's with the excuses for Sergio being hurt?, sure the only chance Martinez has in the rematch IMO is that Chavez doesn't learn from his mistakes and there is no guarantee that Chavez will either consider how arrogant him and his corner is.

Sergio was hurt and knocked down but he has quick recovery and was able to exchange blows with Jr for almost another minute.

That being said does Chavez deserve a rematch? No. Is it worth the watch? Sure. Will he get it? Probably. I'd rather see Jr fight GGG.

That knock down saved Chavez' career.

What did chavez do in the last 50 or 40 seconds left in which martinez was sooo badly hurt? I know the answer NOTHING! Cause Martinez fought back and won the trading blows before the bell rang. Again u ignoring the real facts. You keep saying "martinez was badly hurt. Chavez almost ko him but didnt and lost." <<<And yet you wont tell me why chavez couldnt finish off martinez that make me say those name calling.

Sure, Sergio has been down before, but never like that. He was hurt BAD. But like a champion, he survived. That's what great fighters do. There's no shame in getting hurt, it's fighting, it's going to happen; it's how you deal with it that gets remembered and Sergio dealt with it impressively.

While Chavez didn't do much through the first 11 rounds other than eat shots, he showed immense heart in the 12th by digging deep and putting it all out there. That's admirable.

Neither guy has anything to be ashamed of, really. Certainly not Martinez for getting hurt at the end. While Chavez deserves a bit of flak for the way he performed in the fight up until the last round, he hung in there and made his statement when it counted the most.

He did. And yet Martinez fought right back after Chavez after the knockdown. I thought that was incredibly stupid, and figured he was so hurt that I didn't know what the hell he was doing. Chavez still couldn't put him in a place anywhere near finishing him. Martinez must've recovered well, or perhaps wasn't quite as hurt as he looked when he wobbled and fell as badly as he did. His equilibrium was certainly ****ed for few seconds there, though.

Thats giving Chavez too much credit. The least he could of done is really try to put an effort and let it all out in the last round, considering how little success he had leading up to that point. Once he had the opportunity, he capitalized and followed-up. He saw Martinez was really hurt, he had the possibility of getting the KO, so he let it all out. I believe any boxer in that situation would have done the same thing, considering how behind Jr was on the score cards. That would have been his Get out of jail free card, an opportunity to erase those 11rds and get the win.
