If it can possibly be narrowed down to one... Is there one fight that may be the most perfect collision between two fighters? A fight that took place between two superstars who were: Both in their absolute prime Both at their perfect weight Both considered the best in their class The timing was perfect, the buildup peaked The style matchup was ideal Thoughts?
What up Ice, love ya highlights. As for the the thread question, I would say Leonard vs Hearns 1, but I do believe Tommy might have had some issues with making 147 pounds by the time he fought Leonard.
Sugar Ray Leonard vs Tommy Hearns is close. Julio Cesar Chavez vs. Edwin Rosario was close too. De La Hoya vs Trinidad was close as well (though many argue Trinidad's best weight was 154) Muhammad Ali vs. Joe Frazier I was the closest the Heavyweight Division will ever get to this one probably.
Yo man sorry to be off topic, but you got any new boxing videos lately? hehe Best KO highlight to date still!
Thanks fam and since I have been thinking about this topic Leonard Hearns 1 seems to be the one that keeps coming to mind...
Heres some older ones 1952 Ray Robinson v Bobo Olson ( i thought SRR was better at Middleweight) 1949 Ezzard Charles v Joey Maxim 1962 Sonny Liston v Floyd Patterson 1965 Fighting Harada v Eder Jofre 1983 Michael Spinks v Dwight M Qawi
Pacquiao vs Marquez 1 deserves a shout as well, the only loophole may be the question on whether Pacquiao at 126 pounds was at his best weight but Pacquiao has fought in so many weight classes that it is hard to narrow down what his best weight was but I don't think he had trouble making 126 pounds at that time cause I believe it was only his 2nd fight at that weight.
Felix was prime @154 against Vargas. Oscar vs Mosley Mosley never looked better, was prime in that fight and Oscar well, he was tough two, prime or near prime. Morales vs Barerra Casamayor vs Freitas Margarito vs Williams
Oscar vs. Mosley I and Pacquiao vs. Marquez I are the two closest ones mentioned. A lot of people think Hearns was a little green against Leonard.
