Hatton used to rehydrate to the low 150s....not unlike a lot of the other top 140 lb fighters. The difference would be that he would show up to camp weighing like 180 lbs. Losing 35 lbs in camp is one thing. Losing it the week before the fight is something totally different.
It came out of Chavez jr's mouth in the spanish post fight show of golpe a golpe. He said he had to lose 35 pounds to make weight for the fight. (During the whole training camp, since camp started). You mis understood my post.
I think he meant since the beginning of the camp not water before the weight in. He looked like a fat **** two months ago so that wouldn't surprise me.
In his previous fights he had been coming into the ring at 180. I doubt he changed his ways especially when knowing he would be taking more hits.
