I am still not impressed with Sergio Martinez. Does anyone else feel the same?

Any better opponents in the middleweight division he should fight? Obviously you won't have an answer for that since you brought up Canelo, an unproven Junior Middleweight, of all fighters.

MArtinez defeated an undefeated, strong hungry young boxer, who weighted around 190 pounds. Martinez is a great warrior.

macklin and barker (especially) did not employ the same strategy as chavez jr. simply put, you're mistaken. what more do you want? martinez put on a virtual masterclass against a young, hungry, big fighter.

When money defeats a young hungry lion in ortiz. or when bhop schools a young hungry lion in pascal, they get props. When Martinez does it, some people dont get impressed. double standards on here.

Martinez is a credit to the sport. He clearly exposed the hype job that is julio jr.......time for that overrated former middleweight (with a cruiserweight builid) to move up to 168 so that he would get clowned by the guys there..andre ward would make jr look like an autistic in the ring while the bangers like froch and pavlik would bake that face like a pizza..no big weight advantage for him any longer and without any skill to speak of that would spell disaster for him, the bully would cry back to sr. for help if ever that happens...

He is overrated, i dont think he's an elite fighter and he hasnt beaten anybody special either. He's been riding a hype train ever since he scored that KO over Paul Williams. He looked average against nobodies in his last couple of fights, and here he fought a punching bag for 12 rounds and got dropped and almost knocked out in the 12th.

He's an okay fighter, nothing special. He's experienced, he's got a solid repertoire -- he isn't on the level of a Mayweather or Pacquiao , even at this stage.
