Jimmy Young's entire career gave us the obvious answer. Holmes' career did also. I don't know why you'd even bring it up. Holmes wins a decision. Young looks hesitantly talented. Looking hesitantly talented, however, is not worth as much as a win. And recognizing that is what separates talented fighters and championship fighters.

Young loses ten rounds and claims he was robbed, bringing his mythical record up to 57 wins and 0 losses.

Holmes had it all. Not quite devastating power
Power though. Anyone think Jimmy can eek
out a split decision? Larrys not sstopping
    Young.

Jimmy can win any fight he wants bad enough. Will the judges hive him the win, I don't know. Holmes is freaking awesome, but remember how close the spoon fight was. I think tim was great too, but not half as sneaky and clever as Jimmy. I see Larry missing all night, yes, the jab too a lot. Gets very frustrated, maybe a lot of dirty stuff happens due to larrys frustration, Jimmy stays calm, boxes well, starts screwing with larrys head, making faces, taking walks, and then, actually winning, and actually getting the dec. Then, everybody finally sees the Grus geniouse of Jimmy young.

Young makes Holmes look worse than an amateur at times and gets him very frustrated...enough to blatantly foul Young...Young retaliates and the fight gets uglier and uglier. Meanwhile no solid, scoring blows happen for round after round and the judges, once again choose the champion Holmes, though he doesn't deserve it. You can't beat a man when you can't hit him afterall. Same old story Jimmy Young vs the opponent and the three officials.....getting screwed again.

Don't forget, was robbed against Ali and Norton, and shavers, I think he gets his groove going as usual, but by this time in his career, has the confidence, and balls to take it a step further, by this time, he knows he has to to get the win. I think he takes his game to the next level, steps it up a notch, later in the fight after having Larry so confused he dosent know what the he'll is going on, and after fouling, Jimmy does the unexpected. He pits it into second gear, completely putboxing Larry now much more aggressive ly and even maybe scores a knockdown or out. But he finally let's it all hang out, because by now, he new he had too. Think of the wins thisman could have had if the judges appreciated his skillet, unbelievable

Holmes wins on points due to him forcing the fight... Young looks stinky and lackluster against Holmes and drops a dec. by several points on all cards, then whines he got jacked-off by the judges......

    Holmes sweet Holmes......

Young is such an enigma, so skilled, very good defense, good chin and could be quite active if you forced him to engage but he stunk...Holmes would win this, too active and fights at too great a distance for Young.

Holmes by a competitive UD. I'd say 10-5 round why's. Young would be far to inactive to win this fight and I think Larry's jab would land frequently enough to score points and allow him to get the straight right hand off as well.

Holmes had a champions mentality, Young did not.

Young did not have what it took to be a champ, bottom line he was not prepared to let it all hang out when needed.
