Pavlik has power, and like Miranda doesn't matter as shot he is he still hold the chance of a Ko and is automatically considered still dangerous.

First very disapointed, not that Magee isnt a very good opponent, but were will it take Kessler..?

I.l guess Froch and Bute will take a tune up fight before there second fight - so a fight schedule with one of them is 18 months .................

Pavlik - well dont seems to come of.............

Magee - well a very good fighter, who surely can make trouble fore an old Kessler. But whats the point then.....? Only hope is, that the plan is fore Kessler to take the WBA regular belt to presure for a fight vs WBA champ Ward in the spring/summer..............

But to be honnest - i just think they are trying to milk out the last money out of The Viking Warrior.

A puncher like Bika/Pavlik/Stevenson would've created more intrigue.

Magee had better ring IQ and speed than Bika/Pavlik/Stevenson; if he doesn't get uppercuted early he'll give Kessler a tough fight.

how hard is it for people to get Brian MAGEEs name right? I came into this thread for the soul purpose of seeing how many people called him "Mcgee", and in 3 pages two people have already done it.

Magee is a more common irish name than Mcgee(I think I know about 30+ Magees, no Mcgees)

I think Kessler is planning to fight three more fights. Magee will be the first fight. Ward in the second fight and finally Froch in huge outdoor event in the summer.

    Official: Kessler meetings 'Dane killer'

As a Ekstra Bladet today could tell , it becomes Northern Ireland's Brian Magee, who will be the next to meet face to face with an intense Mikkel Kessler in the boxing ring. It confirms Dane promoters in Team Sauerland Monday.
Place and date of reckoning has not yet been confirmed, but it will probably be in early December in either box in Herning or park in Copenhagen, where Kessler has fought his last two fights against Mehdi Bouadla and Allan Green.
Despite the 37-year-old Brian Magees status as 'ordinary' WBA world champion and superior to both Mads Larsen and Rudy Markussen, is there Kessler more an admission ticket to a rematch against the American 'super champ' Andre Ward, than there are talk about a real big fight.

A victory over Magee will most likely make 'The Viking Warrior' for mandatory challenger to Andre 'Son of God' Ward, which presumably would facilitate negotiations for an anticipated rematch between the two, who first met in Oakland, California, the 2009th
Brian Magee (36-4-2, 25 KO) has given the world stars as Lucian Bute and Carl Froch heavy fighting. In both confrontation ended Magee without being stopped, respectively TKO in 10th turn and KO in 11th game.

33-year-old Mikkel Kessler (45-2-0, 34 KO) was last in the ring in May, where he showed great clout in his KO victory in the fourth playing against Allan Green. The Danish super middleweight may also take career first count against the hard-hitting American when he was on the floor in the first game.
Magee beats almost as hard as Green. On the other hand, he is physically strong, he hits good for the body, and he claws on as long as his legs could carry him.

People in Denmark knows Magee it's why the fight is made, but with that said it's still a **** fight. After he's beaten Magee, then he will probably fight again in the spring, hopefully a solid opponent. It's been over 2 years since i've seen Kessler in with a A or at least B level opponent, hopefully he will fight Pavlik or a solid SMW in the spring.
But with that said Kessler's fight is always entertaining, so i'm looking forward to it.

Pavlik for sure, that fight would make sense for both. Since Kessler is lacking US hype, so i thought the idea of making a KEssler v Pavlik fight in US november, would be the best. Bika i think it would be even, but Stevenson? He can go and fight B-ute :hey
