Oscar was doing his grammy touring when he should have been training for Mosley. Oscar was not peaked.

    Delahoya/Trinidad

Cause Arguello was way past his best when the fight happened.

I thought of that one but most seem to think 154 was Tommy`s best weight & peak.

I also thought of Leonard v Duran 1 as well (in fact this was the 1st fight that came to mind) but again most would say 135 was Duran`s best class - even though his Leonard 1 performance was as good as or better than any LW performance.

    Cotto vs Margarito

Marquez vs Pac 2, i'd say they were both at there prime at that point in there career.

    Williams vs Martinez 1

Or if you think williams was a better 147 you could have Williams Margarito.

    Try YEARS.

Frazier was obviously unbeaten & therefore the favourite vs Foreman but he was a bit pudgy looking & was not the same fighter that foght Ali 2 years previous in 71.

Foreman might have always won regardless but its not the point.

I have the same pick here & I also agree that it has as much claim as any fight as best ever, its certainly my favourite.

Arguello`s best weight was 2 divisions below at 130 lbs, he was also past his prime.

This is up for debate. I for one think Liston was a couple of years past his best

i am surprised no one mentioned this one... but then again i am too younge to know if this fight was prime vs prime, it defiently was up there as one of the best most exciting and anticipated fights.

Frazier had two fights between Ali and Foreman and if you want to be that picky it was a 22 month gap.
