JMM is my boy, but he loses this one.

At 130lbs it could be competitive in the early rounds, but JCC constant pressure, strentgh, and body punches will come into play and see him take over the fight for a UD win.

Anything above, especially 135lbs, i can see JCC stopping JMM.

I'm pretty much with Zopilote. I would be rooting for JMM, who likely wins some early rounds. As JCC's pressure take hold, there would be some great exchanges in the middle rounds, but by about round 7 or 8 JMM would be worn down enough for Chavez to pull ahead.

JCC had problems with pure boxers who used a lot of movement and jabs, not counter punchers.

JCC wouldn't go life and death with a filipino midget like gay boy marquez.

Rough night for Marquez. Remember the Katsidis fight? Marquez would have been on the losing end of it.

Chavez is the bigger, more skilled, more talented fighter. JMM would make for some really wonderful exchanges with Chavez here and there, but he's the lesser fighter by some distance. Chavez would just be the boss the whole way through and may well stop Marquez late (particularly at 135 and up).

JMM gets badly beaten at any weight, the higher the weight the worse JMM would do.JMM is very good but Chavez was great.

I figure it would of been like Marquez vs Diaz 1, but Chavez would of been bigger, defensive genius, and have a lot more power then Diaz.:bbb

I think people are counting out JMM too easily.
Chavez constant pressure would give JMM a LOT of openings to work with with his accurate counter punching.

I still see Chavez winning this but i think JMM could make it very close.

Also saying JMM is good but JCC is great is disrespectful, JMM is very much a great as well, JCC is just greater.

as much as im a huge fan of Dinamita, i believe Chavez would be too much for him. Chavez would swarm him and Marquez would fight his way through for much of the fight but by the championship rounds, Chavez' chin would hold up better out of the two. Would probably go to the cards, but Chavez would win by way of scoring a few knoickdowns en route.
****ing hell of a fight mind.

I would expect a very close fight however it goes.
Problem is that when an ATG retires we pick them over any active fighter and are all thinking of the Marquez of today who isnt far off of 40.
The fight would have to be at 130 and I think it would be very unfair to pick a winner.
We know Chavez was a 3 weight world champ, but Marquez is a 4 weight world champ and if he had of been given the decision over Pacquiao, would have been a 5 weight world champ.
I really cant choose but I think it would be a close decision either way. Pressure against counter punching accuracy
