I think that might be topped by Alvarado - Rios. Boy Alvarado's fun.

Good choices. I'd also put in Beltran/Martinez (best fight last weekend).

might be a bit influenced by the "what have you done for me lately" mentality but as of right now Maidana vs Soto Karass takes the cake

salido vs juanma 2 is #2 for me

Matthysse VS Soto!!!!!, what a great great fight that was, better than Ortiz vs J. Lopez of the same night, have missed a few great fights so I can't make a list, but so far I say #1 is Salido vs JunMa Lopez by FAR!

Ioka-Yaegashi should be in the discussion. So should Huck-Afolabi II. Maidano-Soto Karass, and Martinez-Beltran were both splendid fights. Mthlane-Nunez and Marquez-Mepranum II were unheralded but pretty awesome in their own right.

That said, Alvarado-Herrera and Salido-Lopez II are my two top choices at this moment.

It's actually been a pretty good year, all things considered. Lots of good to very good fights have occurred so far, and we're only part way through September.

Good scrap but not foty imo
Salido-lopez was great. Salido coming out having two swollen shut eyes! I thought he had one more round before the ref stopped it. Juanma hurt him bad early in the fight too! That check hook was a beaut. Then when juanma realized goin backwards was not working for him he bit down and was fighting hard despite taking shots. An had salido going backward taking just as much he was giving. Then got hit with that beatiful combo an lopez was on his ass! Lopez shoulda stayed on his knee like salido did to try an recoup.. Great fight man
