Biggest money option for Martinez, and he does love his money.

It will be the same outcome, Chavez jr is just too slow for Martinez, Rounds 1 to 11 was a Masterful performance by Martinez, If Chavez didn't knock down Martinez in the 12th, That would be so embarrassing for Chavez.

If they do have a Rematch, Martinez will be smarter and not trade like he did in the 12th, this time it will be a Shut out win for Martinez without him getting Knocked down.

    In Texas, how convenient...

If I were Sergio I would offer a rematch in Las Vegas with Floyd Mayweather Jr. Pre-fight tests.

How does a guy who gets utterly dominated a whole fight but gets 1 knock down at the very end deserve a rematch? Dumb fight

My guess is this rematch won't happen now that Sergio(e) holds the cards and has more negotiation leverage. He'll demand extra drug testing and more money

If Sergio doesn't get Canelo or Cotto or Mayweather he will take the rematch as much as I hate to say it. Obviously the bright side is Sergio will get another big payday and more exposure. There's the possibility of Sergio knocking out Chavez therefore Team Arum isn't going in this fight risk free. Assuming the lions at 154 won't fight Sergio, the rematch with JCC will happen. I'm wishing for the boxing Gods to bless us by convincing Ward to move down to fight Sergio.

This is a myth being perpetuated. Martinez was not trading with Chavez when he got hit by that right hook that wobbled him initially. Throughout the fight Martinez had been having success in fighting off Chavez when pressed. Only this time Chavez threw multiple shots back and caught Martinez with the left hook.

Martinez really has no viable options to make anywhere near that type of money elsewhere, plus it's a fight he knows he can win. Against Pirog, Geale and Golovkin (two of which are dangerous matches), he won't make any money. He would get my respect if he took the Pirog or Golovkin fight, but we all know he's not.

So he can set up the rubber match. HELL NO i'm not fighting an Arum fighter n Texas. Even if I "win" Arum will be sure to it that I don't "win."

"Well we should wait on medical diagnosis and then see. Bob Arum suggested me a few hours ago a rematch with Julio, in Dallas, in Cowboys stadium with over 60.000 attendance and PPV. But that doesn't convince me. In that place, Chávez can do whatever he wants, and plus, all the rules about doping and that kind of things are less rigurous, lets put it that way. They are less strict there than in Nevada.

For me, personally speaking, I would like to fight Miguel Cotto. Do you know him personally? He is a strange guy. I don't quite like him, like the most in boxing. I would be a good fight if we managed an agreement."

    - from a recent Sexy Sergio interview

told you he seems like the kind to be deep with his principles and be too demanding to do a rematch with Julio Jr

sidenote: Sergio(e) really has it for Cotto(e) and emmanroid. He always makes sure to give them a verbal smackdown if the option is there

Can't blame him. He's got to be thinking retirement in the next few years.

At any rate it'll be awhile as it seems they both have some injuries to heal up from.

    Thanks for that.

And I'm sure he has all types of ideas in that pretty head of his, but when he sees that PPV money and weighs it against his actual options, I think he'll come around. He may not acquiesce to everything, but I can see him giving in on the location. He may just demand #Moneyteam testing.

That being said, I don't know what his problem with Miguel is, but I think it's cute. If Cotto could take a good shot, I'd give him a great chance at beating Sergio, his rhythm at times is awkward enough to have success and his jab is awesome . But Cotto doesn't do well with being hit with consistently hard shots. :-(

    Yea Sergio is pretty cool.

I like foreign fighters who aren't afraid to speak up. Plus he plays that good guy role but isn't a do as I am told sell out either.

Even though I would like the rematch to be also in Vegas, many of us want the rematch, being there the place was wild but I wouldn't mind it being in Cowboys Stadium
