The Hopkins/Calzaghe fight was the first fight where I felt....

    .....that both fighters deserved to lose, no lie I felt it would have been perfectly reasonable for both to get an L on their record for that abomination of a fight. I always thought it was so ******ed whenever fans debated that fight on who won and who loss, nobody lost more than the fans who actually watched that fight.

    I remember coming away mentally from that fight feeling as though both fighters lost some stock cause of that fight....You had Hopkins who looked good in the first three but only to falter afterwards and fake low blows and headbutt and clinch just for the sake of making it an ugly fight, and then you had Calzaghe who didn't land one meaningful punch in that fight and who already has an ugly style which was made to look even uglier against a spoiler like Hopkins.

    Calling either man a winner in that fight is laughable, even judging that fight as a draw would have been too polite to both Joe and Bernard, a draw would have actually been a gift decision to BOTH men.....If there were ever a case for having a fight be a double loss, Joe Calzaghe vs Bernard Hopkins was that special case.

    i remember betting everyone that hopkins would win, and then i watched the fight, and scored it for calzaghe, barely

    they both fought ****, tbf. Calzaghe was faking too. Bernard wrote the book of faking that fight. Lost a lot of respect for both fighters that time (although Bernard got guts to get in the ring with men who could easily be his nephews and children).

    Wasn't that bad. Bernard was a fanny towards the end faking cos he was tired but it was very very close, couldve gone either way. Anyone who thinks this was a boring fight should check out Williams vs Harrison 1, makes this look like Hearns v Hagler.

    iv got it also.never watched and highly unlikely i ever will lol.think i paid about £1.50 for it on ebay with free postage thats only reason i bought it.
