I know the likes of Pacquiao, Floyd Mayweather Jr, Roy Jones Jr, Andre Ward, Servile Martinez, and Bhop have a lot of loud fans but they have the accomplishments to back it up. Yet people like Calzaghe, Chavez Jr, and Kahn have some of the most vocal fans and they haven't or never did anything to deserve the praise. Just don't get it.

Calzaghe is the best ever welsh fighter, so he is gonna have a country behind him. Obviously the Welsh are not going to belittle his achievements when they are proud of him. Its the same with Pac, they are proud.

Khan represents an asian population, and they dont really have another fighter in the spotlight to back, so they will all back him. and thats alot of people. Again, they are not going to belittle the fighter who is representing British asians, and P akistanis ect...

Mexicans have alot of pride, and dont have a great pick of fighters, Chavez get love because of his Dad.

I dont understand how someone wouldnt be able to work that out for themselves

True, but Calzaghe did something compared to Golovkin for example. Or even the Klitschkos.

Remind me of how many Americans, fighting in their home country, beat Joe Calzaghe.
